Duplicate limited was cool, because all of the cards were "off" cost. If you give all the pro's the same sealed you will end up with 2 decks, the aggro deck and the control deck, each trying to exploit a whole that they think the opther has, and then rolling the dice as to what most of the other players would play. Where is the fun in that? It was cool before, because things like Nev Disk were in the pool, but they cost 2 with and activation of 6 instead of 4 activate 1. This kind of changing the cards in the pool would seemingly be tough for an electronic invitationsal
Then why even bother with a waiting period? In theory Wizards would want that for every set.
Coldsnap is already going to be in Standard for longer than any other expansion set (3 months longer than the standard stand-alone expansion)... I really question the logic of mucking with tournament rules to squeeze out another two weeks.
The only waiting period is between the PR and the Release date.
It's true...I know some of you think it sucks. Here is the thing. WOTC is party of a publicly traded international company...making money is there job. Puttin a set out, and saying it's legal immediately, will make it a highly successful forst few weeks for the set, which looks really good for your bottom line.
I heard yesterday that an email from the Wizards Sales department, that specifically stated that Coldsnap was Legal for Standard play @ launch. They want this set to be used and making a difference immediately.
The only waiting period is between the PR and the Release date.
BEST.RELEASE.EVER!
Thats funny, because that was the same thing I sent to all my freinds when I saw the vote. "Hey mine's up there!"
Regardless, I liked the idea of stayin within the confines of the art becasue thats what this card was all about conceptually, Art leads design.
She's blowing the pixie "Dust of Dreams" on the critter, It will feel good at first, but when he comes back...OH the headache he will have
