I would tend to agree - however I have kept a many hands that are Karplusan Forest, Copperline Gorge, Wasteland which means that Arbor Elf doesn't do anything. Unlike Derevi, we only have 7 (6 in my case, need the Arid Mesa) fetches and only 2 duals that count as Forest. If there's a likelihood of that mana dork not producing mana, I will not run it.
Yes, we don't have as many fetches/duals, you're packing 4 forest more than him, so they kinda replace them. And Dryad Arbor is a forest, too, tutorable with all the green tutors.
Regarding Dryad Arbor - I absolutely HATE this card. Getting all my creatures blown out and losing a land to boot is not something this deck wants to happen. However... There have been too many times now where I have Bloodbraid Elf cascaded into Green Sun's Zenith or Chord of Calling so that X could only be 0 and I get nothing out of it.
I understand that the GSZ for Dryad Arbor turn 1 is a good play, but honestly we don't want to WASTE our GSZ searching for a mana dork on turn 1. We want to use it to drop a fatass from orbit.
I do want to put it in before the tournament though so I can at least get something out of 'dud' Bloodbraid Elf.
Exactly. Dryad is not really nice by himself, but it allows for +1 count on Gaea's Cradle, an explosive start with GSZ and for the other reasons you said. For me, it's almost always a card that you shuffle away in the first hand, but still it's too god for let it go.
Obviously, Spike Feeder gains more life more quickly, but Ooze is much more aggressive, in addition to providing graveyard hate, which is sorely lacking if the opponent is playing The Mimeoplasm or Karador, Ghost Chieftain; it's also, obviously, very strong against Eternal Witness, Snapcaster Mage, Tarmogoyf, and Knight of the Reliquary, which are all cards that I seem to have trouble dealing with.
I find Spike Feeder pretty necessary in Lyserg list, giving you some tempo against aggro, and comboing for infinite lives with him and Archangel of Thune is always good
Who is excited about King Cat? I know a buddy of mine is going to be very excited about it since he loves cats. I'm interested in him but I'm not sure if he would fit into my Mikaeus deck or not and I'm not sure I would want to build anther mono-white deck around him. Though I did make Mikaeus to not be a token deck so I guess I could go full blown white weenie with King Cat at the helm...
What do you guys think?
I love the art, but I'm a little disappointed by the card. You know, an attacking 1/1 can die easily and a 1/1 that must block is pretty useless, because it have to block in pair with the king cat.
Karona seems fitting for a beatdown-style deck, and she's obviously the most flavorful general.
Seems like "Gods" of Shadowmoor/Eventide are auto-includes here. Enabling alone all the multicolored gods that rely on one of their colors, plus the two monocolored ones is serious business.
Seems like you have a new addition to your deck, the new XenaGod.
Let's say that with a ramp spell you play it on turn 4. On turn 5, you play Prossh, put the tokens in play, sac them for making the Dragon a 11/5, proceed to combat phase, making your general a hasted 22/16 with flying, able to kill your opponent with general damage. Enjoy!
Creature — Centaur Warrior Uncommon
Trample
Tribute 1 (As this creature enters the battlefield, an opponent of your choice may put a +1/+1 counter on it.)
When ~ enters the battlefield, if its tribute wasn't paid, ~ gets +1/+1 and gains haste until end of turn

This. Let it just be this. Not OP, but still fairly good and appropriate to themes/colours
Seems like Arbor Elf needs a place aswell. If Derevi plays him, with 9 fetch, 4 duals with green, Dryad Arbor and a basic land, why we don't?

How about no?
Sure, if you want her as general, this might be different
Hell no. Just every Dual that have Plains or Forest in the land types
Oh, and Mistveil Plains is pretty tech with Karametra!
The turn after you played it, -2 of Garruk, Caller of the Beasts or Natural Order for Worldspine Wurm, or even Craterhoof Baloth if you have enough creatures.

Man, Xenagos is the real love, not a vanilla 4/4 for 3. Especially when we can pull out a 4-drop at his place thanks to Radha's mana.
