I purchase plenty of cards from eBay and use Paypal to pay for my transactions. I've even sold some high value cards and not have any bad luck. Even selling international.

When buying I do look at the buyer and their feedback. if they are selling a HV card and they only have 3 for a feedback I usually pass on the deal. But if they have 100+, i look at their feedback for past 6 months, negatives etc..

And a lot of times you will find cards are coming from the same people when it comes to Magic, and a lot are gaming stores.

I just purchased 4 German Foil Thoughtseize for $400 on Ebay and used Paypal to pay for them. They are coming from Germany, from a local shop there.

I tried this approach, but magiccardmarket is Europe. When you try to register and enter your information the countries listed are all European.

I opened 3 boxes of Theros and only got 1 Thoughtseize. But I ended up with 1 each of the Planeswalkers in 2 boxes, and 2 of the Planeswalkers in the last box. I already got 1 Planeswalker at the Pre-Release, so in total I ended up with 3 of each of the different Planewalkers in total

I know eBay is one place to obtain foreign language cards. But the languages you can mainly get are Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and German.

What about French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese?

What's the best way to find individual cards from any of these languages? If I have a particular card I like and want it in every language, what's the best way to obtain it?

For Example in Theros, If I wanted to get each Temple in all the languages.

Are there any good websites for foreign singles? I've tried the normal one's, StarCity, ABU, etc...

What about cards like Thoughtseize from Lorwyn? It is $40 in english. Should I have my cousin look in Germany for Italian version? or will it be $40 in Italian.

I know that other than English magic cards, Japanese seems to be the next most wanted language, followed by Chinese, Russian and Korean.

I've got relatives in German so I got a booster of Innistrad and Dark Ascension when I was there in March and my cousin is coming to visit in May and I asked him to bring me 2 boxes of Avacyn Restored in German.

If I go on Ebay I see these booster boxes for more than the english version. But what about other languages, Spanish, French and Italian. Why do I see these booster's for less than the english version?
For example, Saviors of Kamigawa is about $100 english, but $50 for Italian? 1/2 the price. Won't the singles be the same price regardless in Italian or English.

If a card is $20 for the english version, won't the italian version also be $20?

Any idea when you will have Venser vs. Koth added to the application?

    I use Gatherer Extractor.
It downloads this information and I save it as csv file.
Within my application I have an import opinion which reads this csv file and also the directory where the images are loaded.
It then imports this information into a temporary table in SQL Server.

I then import this data into multiple tables normalizing the data.

So the first time I ran my application I had to run Gatherer Extractor for basically all the sets. I then imported this into my database.

So I then can load these cards into a listview. I also only load certain sets based on which ones I want. This is customizable so I can add an remove sets. Since I have no Alph, Beta, etc.. cards I choose to exclude these sets in my load.

Now if I'm searching for a card though and it's not in my default sets. I won't find it. So if I search for name like 'Mox' it would return Chrome Mox, but not Mox Jet, Mox Ruby, etc...

I was using MtG Studio until about July of last year. I then wrote my own invetory application since I'm a software engineer. I use SQL Server for my database. I have card images, qty, price. I keep adding features.

I can filter all cards, filter my collection, create a buylist, build decks, import prebuilt decks(Duel Decks etc.), enter foreign cards.

It's not a fancy or glamorous as MtG Studio, but it is tailored to my wants and needs, especially my filtering. It is very dynamic.
