Feb 4, 2014Druki posted a message on Launch Giveaway!Spirit of the Night. When I was starting out, I loved big big creatures but black was my go-to color. This ended up with me doing some sort of shenanigan to get them out a little bit quicker, like playing multiple rituals out or reanimating them. While cards like Avatar of Woe or Scion of Darkness are some of my faves, Spirit is my favorite. If anything, it just has a weird but creepy/cool art.Posted in: Announcements

Seems like we're also getting an Avacyn reprint.
It's non-playable, days late, "Be Mine" Valentine's Day cards. They look like they have card backs, so they might be alters or prints. There will be four different kinds.
This may have been hyped up a bit much.
There's enough material for a FF set, which I think would appease a lot more people that a secret lair or 15/16.
There are 15 double-faced cards + a few tokens and they will be available in Brothers' War Set and Collector packs, the first time Universes Beyond will be included in Standard product. Bundles will also include 1 card/bundle. Each card will feature a regular version that uses art reminiscent of the old cartoon style or a "Shattered Glass" variant (an alternate universe where the Autobots are evil and Decepticons are the good guys).
Six cards were shown today, the remaining nine will be shown tomorrow during the M:tG panel at PulseCon.

The problem with this is Dhalsim is in the corner, right next to Ryu.
The obvious solution is to make Ryu and Ken a double-sided card.
The exception to this being the science fiction shocklands that Unfinity will have. Maybe they'll be reprints and black border, maybe they'll be new and silver.
This enchantment will slow down your adventuring party, much to your DM's frustration.
Because I had trouble finding it, it's located on the mothership article for the super drop, at the very bottom. One pack per customer (regardless of however many preorders they have).

These are really cool and I may end up getting one of each.

You would buy this secret lair if you're a fan of the show and want Stranger Things art/characters on cards.
The upcoming Universes Beyond Secret Lair that was mentioned earlier in the week is a collaboration with Netflix.
Gavin Verhey also talks about the changes being done to UB Secret Lairs (in-universe reprints, etc). No mention of when it or the super drop goes on sale (Gavin makes mention of D&D in his video being a big part of Stranger Things, so probably soon to coincide with AFR).
They're probably grandfathered into something (promissory estoppel, reserved list, etc).
However, the article says that they won't apply this particular plan to the Walking Dead cards, so maybe they'll still be reprinted as in-universe cards. Just not as outlined in the article.
