Not quite unrelated, at the prerelease I went to, every all but one decks I played had some sort of u/w humans/spirits thing going. I was one of those people (but when your sealed packs include Moorland Haunt and Intangible Virtue, what choice do you really have).
I think that standard has shifted really into U/W, and the new artifact has solidified that. Just one more reason I don't play standard.
I wish it was. My set of Snapcasters wish to flash it back, or any of the other goodies that would be put in the graveyard.
My RWU modern deck just made a new friend.
Oh man, I'm feeling so nostalgic after reading that. I ran all colors except black so I could abuse the wonder of Phantasmal Image and how it interacted with pod. Tutoring any creature to fit any situation was just too good. Finishing it off with a Wurmcoil into Elesh Norn was just fantastic.
Earlier today I was able to do what I miss in my commander deck, and boy, was it fun.
EDIT: And there's nothing wrong with reflecting over the loss of a style of deck a year after it was removed. A year later is a fine time to think about something like this.
With this new system, even the reduced prices, I won't be playing any.
But with the spoiling of Tangle Wire, I am assuredly picking up four copies of this FTV.
As others have mentioned, Duress is probably the better option since they don't get to chose.
I've given up trying to watch Magic being streamed. Even at max quality, I just can't tell what's in a players hand. The cards are often fuzzy, the players don't hold them far enough apart, and the cards are almost constantly being flicked around. It drives me crazy, that last part.
Does this mean that you can find one card, but fail to find two more cards, and get the one you want?
I'm fairly certain you can't, but I'm not sure why.
Thanks.
Oops
I second this. A really powerful card got overshadowed so quickly.
