I’m building a serra, the benevolent oathbreaker deck based of of my avacyn angel and taxes deck. To play oath breaker with a friend who’s interested and playing a nicol bolas deck. Who better to be the the antithesis.
Trying to decide on my signature spell. One option I’m considering is steel shaper’s gift as part of the strategy is to use utility equipment to overcome the weaknesses of mono white. However I’m not sure if tutor in the command zones a
Is unfun. Also considering some sort of card that either makes angels or is some sort of mono w protection, wrath or removal. could run all in the deck but still wondering what people’s opinion on a tutor as a signature spell is.
and the first time i cast transmute artifact, it always goes for teferi's puzzle box. I then end up locking the game down and get the table to concede not too long thereafter.
It's definitely not fun if you build like that, but it's effective. I basically built the deck, played it once or twice, then took it apart to build other decks. Just ask the other peeps at the table if they think it's fun. whatever the answer, there you go!
Jesus. My playgroup was tossing up oathbreaker, I hadn't thought of the idea of just sticking a tutor in the signature slot like that. Really kills my interest in the format, kills it stone dead. Gonna have to propose a house-rule if we're going to have a go of it.
