This is a deck that I've been trying to fill out to 100 for a while now. The idea is to abuse Lumberknot's triggered ability and smash face with huge hexproof general.
This deck wants to play a ton of stupid little cantrip creatures, arrange for them to fight opposing utility dorks, and have Lumberknot grow out of control. I've only goldfished this deck so far, but I think maybe it can do without the 22nd Forest. Running 35 lands scares me, even though there are so many effects which put land into your hand.
Being mono-green gives access to the best ramp, but the deck still feels slow and clunky at times. Do I just jam more Elves?
Good find on Pyknite I didn't know he existed. I feel you should be aiming for tokens more than value (although the better value cards should be used), as you'll get more counters per spell ie. Maul Splicer is 3 counters and 7 power. You likely want more ramp too, but the large cost ones, so you have a good end game. Stream of Life would also fit in here against red/aggro.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.
Weiss Schwarz Sets
Accel World, Angel Beats, Familiar of Zero, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Guilty Crown, Kill La Kill, Robotics;Notes, Sword Art Online.
Chaos Partners
Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Iona, Kirishima, Kongou.
Dangan Ronpa: Asahina, Togami.
Freezing: Vibration: Chiffon, Satelizer.
Vanguard Clans Favoured
Angel Feather, Dark Irregulars, Genesis, Neonecter, Pale Moon, Shadow Paladins, Tachikaze.
This deck looks pretty interesting for a voltron deck. If Lumberknot had trample it'd be really good, but since it doesn't I think you need to add the ability to it. In addition to Rancor I'd also play Vorrac Battlehorns, Horned Helm, and Fists of Ironwood.
I think you do want to play all 5 of the 1 drop mana elves and Wall of Roots and Devoted Druid. Playing your general turn 3 with other creatures out to protect from an edict seems perfect. I'd probably cut some of the guys for beating to make room for this game plan instead.
First of all, thanks to ISBPathfinder for moving this thread. Not really sure how I managed to post it in the wrong forum...
@MrFloppy: Spore Frog isn't very good here since the deck lacks creature recursion. Heart Warden is already in the list. Primal Growth & Growth Spasm certainly have synergy with Lumberknot, but they don't help to cast him on turn 3. That's where I think most of the mana acceleration should be focused. Walker of the Grove is probably better than some of the other doofy guys in my initial list but, as we'll get to later, I'm cutting those guys in favor of more early ramp.
Finally, there aren't really enough flying creatures in my metagame to make Elvish Skysweeper and Aerie Ouphes worthwhile.
@MiffedMoogle: Making a lot of tokens doesn't seem as good in Pauper mono-G as it is with access to uncommons and rares. I get that token producing cards put more counters per card on Lumberknot, but I'd rather run guys that let me draw into more guys and answers. I also disagree about the expensive ramp. I think this deck wants as much early ramp as possible, to facilitate a turn 3 Lumberknot.
Stream of Life just seems like the worst of a lot of bad lifegain options...
@Snairda: Yay to trample, yay to mana dorks, yay to switching spell-based Disenchant effects to creature-based ones.
I think you'll regret taking out Utopia Vow, it's one of green's best removals in pauper. It's probably better than Simian Grunts, as is Ambush Viper (though there's no reason not to run the grunts too if you're mono green).

this list is super rad. i'm not sure how my play group feels about hexproof, what are your thoughts on nemesis of mortals as another option? i might be biased but i think that card is way dope.

It is your deck, so it is your approach, but consider changing if your meta becomes removal heavy. I'm used to creatures dying a lot and Lumberknot has benefit that often only Swirling Sandstorm, Pesilence or sacrifice effects will harm it. For a deck that ramps, I've found Stream of Life a good counter to decks that multiple fireballs, but of course your metagame may be different.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.

My metagame is removal heavy. That's why I'm experimenting with a hexproof general. Spot removal on a Striped Bear isn't exactly a fear of mine, so I'm not sure why a removal-heavy metagame should be driving me toward tokens.

Lifegain is not a bad idea. I've seen plenty of PDH games ended by a series of X spells for a billion. But Stream of Life is just not very good. Right now I've just got Sylvok Lifestaff for lifegain, but Gnaw to the Bone and Essence Warden are other options.

You would never guess, at the terrifying sight of the man, that Hunding was as charming a companion as one could wish for.
Yeah, I considered Lumberknot for a while... but Drove of Elves is easier to use and is based off of PERMANENTS, not creatures - so Rancor gives it +3/+1, Fists of Ironwood gives it +3/+3 (thanks to the Saprolings!) and Trample, and Sprout Swarm is a continued buff that just gets better the more you ramp.
I once took over a player using Drove of Elves in a 4 man pod. In a larger setting having multiple green permanents on the board was actually more difficult to achieve than you would think. In multiplayer, relying on what other people are doing can often be a superior strategy- there will be more creatures dying among 4 players than there will be green permanents you can put on the board. What's also relevant is that after the first time Drove is killed, it becomes very difficult to "suit up" since practically all of your other green permanents died as well. In that game especially, it would ahve been very different if Drove was Lumberknot. I'd say drove is better for 1v1, but Lumberknot would be king of multiplayer games.

For additional "removal" in green I like Simian Grunts, Elephant Ambush, Havenwood Wurm, and Krosan Vorine. Maybe use Nantuko Vigilante instead of Rending Vines for artifact removal. There's probably no reason not to play Veridian Longbow either in a mono-green deck. Also look at Emerald Charm, Evolution Charm, Seedling Charm and Vitality Charm. They're very good and fun to play.
