Hi -
I was toying around with the idea of building a small php web page that would display card prices for say, the current set of shocklands. Then, I could compare and contrast the prices from a few online vendors before making my purchase.
This idea stemmed from the Open Office Calc spreadsheet I currently have listing the prices I manually get from TrollandToad, StarCity Games, MTGMint, etc. with some simple forumlas showing price differentials etc.
How do people "scrape" this data? Is it even feasible? Most of these places don't have any sort of structured feed from what I can tell - which means regular expressions and other headaches.
How do you guys track prices for a small selection of cards? Or is is just a manual process?
Thanks.
