Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

Baker by a longshot. Although I look back with nostalgia on Jon Pertwee and Peter Davidson from reruns when I was a kid/teen. The celery stalk allergy detector still makes me smile
The new incarnations are good, but at this point they need to get away from "The Amy and Rory Show" IMHO.
Tegan was hot, Rose Tyler was hotter (just barely), and I have a weakness for redheads so Amy Pond is right in there.

I has been rumored that the Doctor will get a new assistant after the series which starts with the doctor dieing
Have to agree on Tom Baker as a good original Doctor. I used to have Logopolis on VHS years ago which was a fun story where the Doctor is trying to fix the chameleon circuits of his TARDIS. It did seem a little odd that the Master got a better functioning TARDIS than the Doctor.
Quick question, has any one read any of the Classic Doctor Who books or is the only experience from the various television series?

I skipped the books.
I have this very odd memory of an episode where they had multiple Doctor incarnations from back in the '80s... had all sorts of baddies in it, including a robot that shot arrows at you if you moved(?). Some of the most interesting stories in this little show.
And Stetsons are cool.

If it was the one I have just quickly found it was actually a film not an episode in a series.
The Five Doctors? Unfortunately it was before my time so haven't had a chance to watch it. Unlike Day of the Daleks it doesn't seem to get screened over here. With the greater interest in the modern incarnations it might prompt the networks to reshow the classics.
Ok we have had the question about favorite Doctor asked, what about the other side. Whose the favorite bad guy? Doesn't have to be someone who shows up in multiple episodes or Series.
Of the main ones I have a liking for the MAster but I seem to remember a book where he was investigating Loch Ness and the Monster is a major part.
Oh yeah to get the assistants out the way any one who does not think the Brigadier is the best has not seen/read enough or is wrong so can be ignored.

If you mean 09-11 possible though unlikely as it appears that there were disagreements between the producers/directors and Christopher Ecclestone.
If you mean all 11 doctors in something similar to the 5 doctors which had all 5 incarnations upto that point. Unfortunately a few of the earlier ones are no longer with any more. William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton were not young when they took the role on and that was back in the 60's.

Also,
I was re-watching "Wedding of River Song", and I realized something. When Dorium is talking to the Doctor about the Fall of The Eleventh in the 7th Transept (where the Monks keep the skulls), he says that the Doctor's future is very dangerous. The Doctor realizes that "Silence will/must fall" refers to his silence, his death and says "the Doctor will fall." That's when it all clicked for me, the Silence are dedicated to stopping the Valeyard from being created at the Fields of Trenzalore. After all, "the Doctor will fall", making way for the Valeyard. Another part of my theory revolves around the fact that the Valeyard was created "between the Doctor's 12th and final regenerations." Now, you're probably saying to yourself "the current Doctor is the eleventh", but when you consider the aborted regeneration (without changing bodies) in "Journey's End" he is technically the 12th Doctor. I've given you a lot to think about, but my rant is over.

Amy Pond is hot, but not the best companion. Don't know my favorite though, they've all had their problems.
Best Doctor?

I've only seen reboot episodes, but from the three I've seen the Tenth Doctor has to be my favourite. Tennant is an amazing actor.
I don't think so. The master cheated and further evidence is that Idris has 30 Tardis control rooms so he will probably live at least thirty times.
Agreed, which is the general consensus it seems. However, Tom Baker wasn't bad from what I've seen. Plus; awesome scarf.

Capt. Jack is confirmed out...
But not Mister 10!!!! He still has a chance. I'm more hoping for #4 though. He was great.
None of this will happen though without a multi-doctor story.
