Burritos either blow or rule with no inbetween anyways, so just tossing **** into a tortilla is not a terrible way to make one. The real key is getting the texture variety right. The worst burritos are ones where all the insides are all one squishy, warm texture - and particularly when the insides are bland too.
Generally, you can at least mask a crappy burrito with hot sauce. A lot like bad Thai food.
What, you're not going to tell us what it was like?
It takes me all day to see how I feel about a burrito. Often if a burrito is good it sits in your stomach and gives you a feeling of completeness all day. So I'll likely give updates later in the day on how that morning's burrito was.
Today: really crappy. The burrito tasted good, but just ran through me if you catch my drift.

However, my friend made green chili venison enchiladas and they sounded so good. But she's gonna make some for me when I come visit over the summer. :3

I've got probably 30 different bottles of hot sauce/barbeque sauce/salsa on my shelf. I have some random ass brand of Chipotle that hasn't met it's fate with the Yanni burrito yet, but I'm hoping it will someday.
I' was never a huge fan of sour cream in burritos tbh.

Care to go a bit more in-depth? I've been wanting to get more cultured when it comes to hot sauces, and haven't really known where to start.
yeah I can absolutely post a list, or at least part of one. Keep in mind I have a lot of hot sauces that are local/North East, so you may not have access to them where you are.
Yanni's Hot Sauce Collection
Vermont Pepperworks Peach Harbanero Ginger

Peri Peri (unnamed from South Africa)
and then 7 unmarked bottles with various colors.* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_sauce < Is a great resource for looking up Hot Sauce you may not be accustomed to. How'd you go about acquiring all those, Yanni? Did you just grab them off the shelf, or try them through a friend/restaurant, or read good reviews?
Vermont Pepperworks sells all of their flavors for 18(?) dollars without shipping. I purchased that for myself last month. The others have been gifts. I try most of them at Mexican places. My mother worked as an ESL teacher for a long time and I acquired the names of various brands from people with whom she worked. Specifically the Asian Hot Pastes.
Honestly, go to your local super market and get 5 different Hot Sauces. Find the one you like the most, and look up more 1. by the same company or 2. with the same materials. Often they'll have the same texture/after taste if they share similar characteristics. If you have friends that are really into hot sauce, ask them what they like. I didn't really like it until I met a guy in college who turned me onto a lot of different brands

Well, along this same vein, my current favorite hot sauce (speaking from inexperience here, obviously) is Frank's Red Hot, which is Cayenne based. Do you have suggestions from there?

Are you speaking of a specific type of Frank's Red Hot or just regular Frank's Red Hot? That company makes a lot of different kinds. If it's the original, try out the Chile and Lime. It'll give you a dip into the fruity hot sauces. If you like that, buy something from Vermont Pepperworks (assuming the shipping isn't stupidly over priced) and probably the peach ginger stuff.
If you want to spread out to other companies any Louisiana style hot sauce will probably suit your taste. Most of those are cayenne based. If you want something hotter, go Tobasco. If you want something a little milder, Jalapeno is the way to go.
If you can get your hands on Piri Piri (which is a ***** to find in most places) buy it. It's a South African Hot sauce that is incredibly hot. I'm not bothered by a lot of hot sauces and the first time I tried Piri Piri I thought I was going to die of a burned throat. It tastes awesome, then you get the heat wave.
edit: Basically I'd recommend Chile and Lime from FRH. If you like the fruity taste, go for something by VPW. If you don't, try Tobasco. It's all about zeroing in on what you want in a hot sauce.

I always thought that Tobasco was all heat and no flavor, and that Louisana found a better compromise between the two. I don't mind heat, by any means, but if it's just going to destroy your throat without providing any actual flavor, then I'm not down with that.
My reason for preferring the original Frank's (I dislike their wings & BBQ) was because it gave you a nice level of heat while still having a unique flavor, and it didn't completely cover up whatever else you were eating. That a better explanation?
I'll try and grab that Chile & Lime, fruity sounds interesting. What do you suggest putting it on?

It really depends on the Tobasco company. This guy makes his own at our local farmer's market that is Tobasco and it's really hot and has a giny taste.
If you're looking for something that has the same effect as Frank's, go for anything by Vermont Pepperworks. It provides exactly what you're looking for.
I usually eat it with nachos. Chile and Lime goes very well with cheese in my experience. Whip up some Ezy Mac and pour some Chile and Lime and boom you've got something that tastes sort of good.
edit: The problem with some Tobasco is it's usually not proportioned correctly. Sometimes too many peppers are in, creating the effect that you described, and sometimes not enough peppers are in, creating a weakass hot sauce.
It's hard to make a good Tobasco. I personally will only touch the stuff if I'm out of everything else. I really don't like tobasco. I really like Louisiana styled hot sauce, but it isn't always very hot.

I think my favorite hot sauce is Cholula - it's got a relative amount of spice, and a hell of an amazing flavor, I like to make taco shells out of parmesean cheese and dump that on them. Also great with eggs and bacon.
Also, when it comes to general spicing/flavoring, can't go wrong with Louisiana or Texas Pete. Tabasco is really hit or miss for me.
