Well I did trade my prerelease version and progenitus for a borderless terror of the peaks and with a potential “what you can do I can do better deck” that may come down the line
because this is what we want to see in the mythic slot here?
i wonder how much crap needs to appear in this set before people get aggravated at opening trash and stop buying into this model
This model they use is beyond tiresome isn't it? All the value in the mythic slot, gamble gamble gamble. It obviously works but I find myself wanting and buying LESS product all the time with this model of rarity gambling.

Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
I like the card, but boy does it not belong here. If these boosters were $7-$10 it'd be pretty decent to alright, but at $16 this is a joke. I knew spoilers like these were coming after the first wave hit.

Some might stop buying this, especially now with the various economic struggles, but as long as there are whales WotC/Hasbro will push this again and again, just like video game companies pushing live service/microtransactions. Take a look at Diablo Immortal for how far companies are willing to go to push a random chance.

same. i've switched heavily to singles and as a result i buy even less than i did previously. its just harder and harder not to view it as gambling every single set. keep pushing value into alt arts and mythics - and even then its a gamble on a gamble because half the mythics/alt arts in any given set tend to also not be value. use to pick up rando packs at targets and walmarts sometimes, but i stopped doing that even. it also effects draft, when you pay your 16 bucks knowing you aren't going to get anywhere near that back, even if you win... you kind of just stop drafting. drafting this will be even more expensive and not necessarily worth it.
Some new young teen non working age player scraps together the 16 bucks to pop for a pack at a box store with visions of Bitterblossoms and Lilianas dancing in their heads proceeds to open two chaff 25 cent rares and a worthless foil common. And gives up on the game forever.
How does this help get new players WotC?

How the heck would a new player know about those cards, or even how much they are? That's not what "new player" means. Also, no new player will see that price tag and still buy the thing when cheaper boosters exist.

i mean, this set isn't really designed with new players in mind, and that's a-okay.
its very clearly designed with edh players in mind, yet put at an exorbitant price so it just caters to whales.
edit: yeah yeah, you'll all say but its for legacy and modern players too! except outside of edh who the **** is playing muldrotha, mizzix, animatou, lord of extinction... you can't include chaff like that and then say you aren't trying to appeal to the edh crowd too. i hated the first time they pulled this *****, and i hate it even more the second time.
Just for Devils Advocate sake. People seem to be complaining that these packs cost double what a normal premium set pack would be. BUT they are double packs, there are 2 rare/mythic in a pack. So they should cost double. I'm not saying I agree with the price point but it seems that people are forgetting that you are getting twice as many rare/mythics and foils per pack. Is it still worth it... well thats a different story (especially with us spoiled on Set boosters that can have up to like 3 rares and collector boosters with up to 6 or so) BUT with no MSRP on stuff now, it seems about right. (Walmart sells Commander Legends Baldurs Gate set boosters for $8.98, now THATS a ripoff)

One extra card. Its a guaranteed rare. Its double the cost for the same amount of cardboard.
Now if the packs actually had 30 cards in them. 6 uncommons instead of 3 and double the commons I could see the price being justified. As it stands, no, its a lotto ticket. And a pricey lotto ticket at that.

Yep it appears to be aimed at Commander players. Might as well have called it Commander Masters.

At this point every single set seems just a commander set variant (not that I coomplain XD), with a little bone throwed here and there for other formats.
That pretty well sums it up. (Except for my complaints/protests)

What do you mean this card is above $6?
