I never got to play with Delver since I was living in Turkey back then, and the Modern decks which use it are too expensive. Now I'll finally get to play with one of the best blue tempo cards in history, plz be viable in Standard once more:)
Not sure about Standard, and it's a decent flyer in Limited (Equipment in the set pending), but this reprint's real impact is in Historic and Pioneer. Wonder how it'll go.
idk that its all that great of a reprint here, but we'll see. also not sure if i'm hoping standard is warped enough where this is a nonissue creature, or if its still a problem. not entirely sold that either scenario is actually healthy for the game.
Now the next generation is trying to become Mothman.
And as this doctor seems to have some eldrazi madness going so we can guess similar things will happen.

I think a cheap aggressive flyer is most dangerous when backed up by efficient counterspells and disruption, something that legacy delver has but that standard might not.
I’m extremely unexcited by this, lol. We’ve all been intimately familiar with this guy for 10 years now. The reaction from my playgroup was a resounding “K”
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Funny, how that works. My local playgroup was excited to see Delver back in Standard.

For constructed this sets up some powerlevel spikes if a deck can properly use it (which probably not the case in standard).

WotC is stupid for reprinting this.

Miscast might be an issue if you ask me, more than any 2-mv counterspell.
delver is now playable in Pioneer though, yipee !
Nah, Wizards would rather spend time and resources on giving nice variant cards to common crap people will barely even use in limited instead.
Perhaps they'll give us "Seth Brundle / Jeff Goldblum, Jurassically Sparked" art in an upcoming Secret Lair: Hollywood Has-Beens
