@lookinhgupanddown: Fury not hitting the face also means you can't blink it turn one for full value (otherwise it'd kill on turn 3 by itself). For fair applications you're right that flash would be more powerful. But I think it's powerful enough as is.
I don't get why they didn't make Glimmer Bairn into an atog. The card has nothing to do with Gilder Bairn. I guess it was a change late in development and it had a similar effect to the ultimate of Battle for Bretagard?
Honestly they should have just saved the art for later then.
Man, note to self: RTFC. I managed to completely overlook that Fury does not do fist-to-face... Not to mention Fireblast is an Instant... So, yeah, Pyrokinesis, right.
Fury doesn't hit the player, it's likely not even playable on straight up burn.
that said, it's pretty good in a vacuum.
I mean, it can very easily trade itself and another random red card for 2 opposing creatures at the cost of 0 mana.
the evoke on this one is the only in the entire cycle that might not be card disadvantage if played without extra support.
and now comes the last one in the cycle of the incarnations fury
Looks like red just barely dodged a bullet for the short straw of the worst it's nothing more than a 1 mana less and just a hair better Pyrokinesis since it throws in walkers but this easily should have gotten flash and be “any target” instead but could still be better than it looks though I mean might be considerable for horde of notions and I don't need the envoke cost for it.
ok now to go from best to worst based on what I see (opinions ofcoarse)
Top to bottom best to worst
solitude - unquestionable the best one in the cycle
grief - it may not have flash but unmask is beyond nasty with flicker
Endurance - it works both ways with flash you can save your yard or just ruin everything
for someone’s graveyard deck.
Fury - this really should have gotten flash or been able to target anything but I can guess it was another too scary to do thing
Subtlety - yes it counters creatures or walkers to library but here’s the problem “ Its owner puts it on the top or bottom of their library.” the word Owner so they are in charge of where it goes so....it’s never gonna go to the bottom of the library ever unless it was a bait card or have a second one in hand. And I’m sure you wouldn't want to waste it just to put a garbage card from your hand on the bottom of the library.
Now I could be missing stuff but these are just my opinions
I can see Fury being the worst in the cycle tbh. Not sure it will see any play at all. It can theoretically be good vs decks with lots of small creatures, but against other decks it's awful. No flash doesn't help matters. There's then the issue that you need a mass of red cards to enable it, and any deck that has that probably just has better answers than this.

Grief I imagine is the best in the cycle and will see the most play. Subtlety is way better than you are giving it credit for. Aether Gust gives your opponent the same choice and sees plenty of play. I actually expect it's the 2nd best in the cycle after Grief. Solitude is ok, but the issue is most creatures are not worth 2 for 1'ing yourself for, so against a lot of decks it's not worth it. The creature part is much worse than the first two as well.

I don't think solitude is inquestionable as the best one....
I mean, the only inquestionable thing about this cycle seems to be that the blue one is the worst, because your opponent chooses where to put the card.
Solitude is mainly a Shriekmaw that hits anything at instant speed, but gives life to your opponent.
not sure on how important for this particular one the "free" aspect is.
The red one can kill 2 things, maybe 3.... you can even get card advantage from it for 0 mana, if it had flash, I'd say it would be a ton bettet than the white one, without it, I still think it's mostly better in a vacuum, but it's very debatable.
The green one is crazy bananas against graveyard based decks or mill decks, but it only really shines in this kinds of situations, it's very powerful but also very narrow.
I'd say that White, Black and Red are the best 3 in any debatable order.
Green is crazy against some matchups and pretty meh against everything else
Blue is plain weird.... fine in tempo decks, but it suffers a lot from your opponent making the decision about where the card goes
Love how people underrate Fury. But the card is a blow out against so many decks like humans, spirits or an other decks with thalia. The tempo gain you get from killing multiple craetures from opponent is amazing. Thats without talking about the card can be hard casted and having a good body to boot.

exactly that’s a big key to why fury looks a lot better than it looks.

yeah..... Pyrokinesis actually does see fringe play in legacy if you think about it.
Yeah, the more I think about Fury's creature side, the more I think it's a more expensive Flametongue Kavu on crack. You can't rely on it as a finisher because it dies to Bolt, but dang does it provide value when it ETB.
Don't count on Fury killing more than one creature with Prowess, though. Odds are good that your opponent sandbagged an instant just to save it as emergency pump.

Loving how the Bairn is an art callback to Gilder Bairn.
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)
The original Gilder Bairn is one of the most beautiful foils ever, I wonder how good this one will look.
Also, it's TokenAtog.
Fury not having flash is its biggest hit (more than not aiming for the face), but a 3/3 double striker is nothing to sneeze at.
Honestly they should have just saved the art for later then.
Now I'm a lot less excited about it.

The meta has to adapt against them and that alone is a crime.
