I know it's a lot of extra rules text but I kind of wish these modular creatures with abilities used ability counters they could throw to the creature the become amalgamated into. Much like Ironheart Chimaera and friends.
I think it would require a slight rules tweak to Modular that should be fairly hard to abuse.
Looks like Arcbound Worker has become obsolete with this new cat and the flying modular insect thing. Very cool to see new cool modular cards. I hope they can give a little more edge to hardened scales (and whatever is left of different affinity decks hehe)

Unless affinity wants to become/support white - worker still has work to do. The green arcbound if this is a cycle has the most potential to be played - but even then would a 1/1 trample really be worth spending that colored mana. And then - Ugin is not an unplayable card and would we want the liability of colored permanents?

I think there's a lot of tension in deck building with the modular cat. Mono G Hardened Scales only runs about 12 coloured lands and 8 of those are combat tricks that happen to tap for G. I don't see a lot of room for white in the mix. GW counters runs a fairly low number of artifact creatures Stonecoil Serpent is a common include but that's about it, leaving no targets for the cat's counters. Affinity may be the only easy home for the cat because it runs colour filtering but that list seems pretty set (and as you mentioned unpopular) these days.
In any thing I think some new modular variant may rise up from the new modular 1 drops.
Yeah bone shards still sucks because it's still a sorcery

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
