Hm. On the one hand, blue getting to exile creatures and create something in it's place is nothing new.
On the other hand, I don't think it's been this flexible before, or the leftover body so...ignorable. Being able to hit the Theros gods sometimes is also a really solid bonus.
Ummm... chase common, lol? Quite a power house at common for blue. Hell yeah I'll trade you down your massive beast or combo artifact piece for a measly 1/1 flyer.
Maybe not right away, but I expect foils in this to hit the $1+ range.
Is appears to be the first time blue gets to permanently destroy/exile an artifact. Not bounce/tuck/steal/counter but actually get rid of it. Not sure how I feel about that.

I wouldn't necessarily say it break the color wheel. I think there are some very creative ways to give out of color abilities and synergies while still keeping the flavor. I remember when Unyaro Bee Sting came out in Mirage I thought it's too bad green doesn't have decent creature removal, just a sorcery that cost 4 & cards like this... then green got the fight mechanic and the ability for a creature to deal damage equal to it's power to another.
Here we have an exile effect, such as it is found in white, getting a blue spin on it. Reminds me of Afterlife, but trade instant speed for sorcery speed, but also able to hit artifacts.
This might be one of my new favorite blue commons; will probably go in ALL of my Commander decks that run blue.
I wonder--do Foretell instants/sorceries count as "instants and sorceries you control in exile" for cards such as Crackling Drake? I suspect not since they are face-down.

You are correct. While cards are face down, they have no characteristics like that for Crackling Drake to check. After all, it could be Sarulf's Packmate you've got face down instead!

Exile target artifact or creature. Its controller creates a 1/1 blue Bird creature token with flying.
