i mean, they're alright. they're not particularly attention grabbing because we've seen them reprinted so much recently, or they're still fairly new, or worthless.
they're good inclusions and about right for this product, but they're nothing to gush over.
i'm more impressed by the level of synergy they went for. they've been bad at that for a long time with these.
Honestly looks like a really good list. Quite fun and effective as a first EDH list. Sad that they made Obuun too safe

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
This deck actually seems pretty great. Tons of synergy, enough ramp, decent removal and card draw, and as much of it on-theme as possible. And classic commander power cards/staples like sun titan, acidic slime, angry Omnath.
I was expecting to see more actual Zendikar Rising cards in the deck, but I'm not necessarily disappointed about that either. Seems like it was designed so if you opened some new packs of ZR you'll find more cards to fit into the deck.
That's a remarkably solid precon. I'd actually pick it up, it's a decent foundation for a refined deck that's still fun.
At ~$20, it's almost certainly the best entry-level product for EDH beginners since 2011.
Indeed. It's a bit pricier in Canada (it'd run me around $55 for both), but that's still a lot of value. Admonition Angel alone runs you $12-13 as a single here. Omnath is $14-16, the rest of the value cards run between $2-5 each. And more importantly, I can see a use for a good amount of those cards. I will likely pick these up if the UB one is at all comparable.
Zendikar Rising also offers some fairly obvious auto-includes, if someone where inclined to splurge on card replacements. Sylvan Advocate is actually the first place my mind went when Ashaya, Soul of the Wild was spoiled.
At first I didn't understand why trove warden needed to specify that cards exiled from *your* graveyard could have another owner... then I remembered that someone could temporarily steal that trove warden.
Our commander is flanked by mass goad and that newfangled protected reaninimator. Key reprints include Admonition Angel, Sun Titan, Omnath, Locus of Rage, and Arcane Signet. Full decklist here.

people are gonna be eating their words
there are way better reprints than you think in this (playable wise not money wise)
and the best for last Arcane Signet and sol ring

Very first comment @link: "How disappointing. No Avenger of Zendikar, no Oracle of Mul Daya, no Azusa, no Wayward Swordtooth."
At ~$20, it's almost certainly the best entry-level product for EDH beginners since 2011.

Actually I need to find the link but I think when Gavin air they need to test it first
Let's just say he was full of it and is already making 2 more for kaldheim (product list somewhere on kaldheim on a site)
My only complaint is that he didn't permanently animate the land like Awakening cards do.
