Towering Titan 4GG
Creature- Giant
Towering Titan enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it, where X is the total toughness of other creatures you control.
Sacrifice a creature with defender: All creatures gain trample until end of turn. "Knock, knock."

Theme 1 is Seismic, which is volcano/earthquake themed. Think Koth.
I love that Towering Titan's second ability is all creatures, not creatures you control, so it can be used for politicking in multiplayer or boosting a team-mate in two-headed giant.
Let’s say I mutate Nethroi onto something and grab that Titan and some other things. Does the titan get counters from the other creatures grabbed?
Yes, they all enter at the same time.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

This is incorrect for the same reason a Clone can't be a copy of something it ETBs with. The counters aren't a triggered ability but a replacement effect.
Definitely worth the drive to Acton (those in Southern Ontario older than 30 will understand what I'm referring to)

I’m suddenly reminded of another poster from the FFG forums, who I believe was from Mississauga. Look at me over here, flexing my practically nonexistent Canadian geography skills...

One would think a beaver would be highly familiar with Canadian geography?
What am I missing? How is what this article describes a different way to play jump start?
The initial article introducing Jumpstart talked about a couple different ways to play, including drafting 3 boosters, and opening 4 packs to mix and match into 2 decks before playing a 3 game match where you had to switch between the decks. I think this version (open two packs, mash together) may have been offhandedly mentioned, but was not a focus.

Today's article uses those two to demonstrate what the combined Jumpstart packs look like.

Ooh I love the theme card for Seismic
