I also wish it was better, but it seems all the planeswalkers this time around leak outside of their borders.

The +1 ability looks solid, I mean there be some ways you can cast something to protect her or something.
The -1 ability is ONE way to shoot a dead card from your hand to something you want it DEAD.
The ultimate is OK... its an ultimate.
Well color me disappointed. Even with the 2 life tacked on compared to the peak she still kinda sucks. It’s a shame. I really like Narset and would have liked another good one to put in my Narset, Enlightened Master super friends deck.
So this is not a great planeswalker, but is it able to find a niche home somewhere? Probably in commander, she synergizes fairly well with her creature self, if you can pull her ultimate off once you'll be getting 2-4 triggers off the commander's attack trigger though neither of her other two abilities are incredible for creature Narset. Might be okay in Kykar, they seem to synergize well too, Kykar makes tokens to protect her and her ultimate means that generating tokens can also help clear the way for an alpha strike with them.
I love planeswalkers, but I'm not sure I love this Narset.
i suppose, given the colors, you can stall long enough for her -6 pretty easily, but they ramped up ways to deal with walkers - and questing beast exists now with more mutate - soooo... yep. she sucks.
Why is she red? The current version of Narset was raised Ojutai, not Jeskai?
At the end of the Tarkir story we saw, she found the ancient scrolls the proto-Jeskai had hidden away from Ojutai, talking about their history and the secrets of Dragonfire. It's quite probable that being away from Ojutai's "guidance" and learning from those scrolls has nudged her into adding red.
Can't we all just be thankful that it isn't an obscenely overpowered planeswalker that is going to warp multiple formats? I'm sick of those. Everything since Eldraine (that is, TBD and now Ikoria) seems like a nice return to form for the card type.
The ultimate feels pretty uninspired, like a bad copy of other ultimates we've seen. But that middle ability is strong and unique.
Her first ability is a fine complement and shout-out to the Jeskai's "Prowess." Her ultimate isn't that hard to get especially with all the proliferate in Standard at the moment particularly in blue.
