Oh this might have a decent shot for pioneer if mutate becomes a thing there
Even just playing it by itself can reanimate 1 creature plus give you +3/+3 to another creature for 4. It's not bad. It's better than Crypt Champion in that regard, and CC saw play in Standard even though it was more like Exhume than Zombify.
A lot of these mutate creature even could technically be played in a monocolor deck, if you only planned on casting it via mutate. While in Pioneer, lands like Isolated Chapel, Temple of Silence, and Godless Shrine would let you play them as creatures in an otherwise monocolor deck. Again, just a possibility, not a likelihood.
It doesn’t give +3/+3, it sets power and toughness to 3 each (if put in front). It’s halfway decent for being reusable reanimation that can bring back the legendary panther to keep reviving even smaller things.

Correct. I mistyped in quick response to this card. Never-the-less, that doesn't change my evaluation of the card. It still serves the purpose I spoke of, and I think it its a serviceable card.
