I'd say this is the set of memory issues, but at least you CAN easily count how many times a creature has mutated by taking the number of creature cards in the stack pile and subtracting 1.

The ability is fine, the name is pure *chef's kiss*.
100%. Wish it was a little smaller with lower CMC so it would actually see play, although the ability might be oppressive at that point. Hitting only creatures limits it quite a bit, though.

6 mana for a 7/7 isn't too bad in blue, though I guess you're technically sacrificing a creature to get it. Still, if you put it on something with some spicy abilities...
