Couldn't copy paste because I keep getting the note "Non Latin Unicode characters are temporarily not allowed." and couldn't figure (after multiple tries) how to find those characters and replace or delete them...
EDIT: Trying to copy paste the texts card by card... Okay, this works. Apparently there is a non latin unicode character between the cards... I'll keep editing carf by card... Okay, done! Phew! Now back to some book reading with our daughter. : )
Hope these cards are real, and if this has been posted already and I overlooked it, please delete/lock this. Sorry if that's the case.

Why do I feel like Merge should have just been in a Standard set? Perhaps it is in Ikoria, but a lot of those Merge support cards feel like they are clogging up the list. Also, for an enchantment theme I half expect Eldrazi Conscription in the list, and I say this having seen the leaked list already.
Didn't Ethan Fleischer create a GDS2 world design with a prehistoric theme that involved giant monsters and evolve? I also seem to recall another designer having a design similar to merge.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Just going to throw this out there as a lover of frogs: whiptongue frog already exists but not as the spoiler describes.
I know there is the possibility of it being due to translation, but figured it should be pointed out.
Also merge looks like inverse bestow.

Since, if real, this is one of the Ikora Commander decks Merge could easily (and very likely) will be in the main set.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I can tell you it’s suposivly the symbolic swarm deck and abzan
I should tell you guys there’s a “ultimatinum” in abzan In there and we don’t have wedge colored versions of those
So that cycle is probably gonna get completed here in Ikoria or commander 2020 (if real anyway)
Also this might confirm it’s a secondary wedge set with tarkir (I know tarkir became allied with the dragon lords but some of the original time line is sneaking in and trying to get it back to the way it was)
I heard someone saying on reddit that the ultimatum matches an mtgsalvation post circa 2012... but that person didn't exactly leave any links. I don't suppose anyone verify that at this time?
I'm not sure whether I believe in Merge as a legitimate mechanic. While it's fine in a vacuum, we've already heard that we are getting a mutate mechanic in this set... and we've gotten hints that we are getting double-sided keyword counters. This ability doesn't require counters any more than other auras or bestow creatures did and I'd be a little bit surprised if this set included two abilities with similar names ("Merge" and "Mutate") and similar goals (building up your behemoths)... and that utilizes a heavy enchantment theme right after Theros in a way that triggers neither constellation nor "heroic".
There's also the fact that Nikau is listed as mythic (in spite of past secondary commanders like Varchild always being lists at rare) and that some cards look a bit off like Ogru Centipede not looking white and Drakitaur Warlord looking overpowered as written... at least by casual standards (It basically gives all of your creatures an unblockable second attack against all attacked opponents that heals you... at uncommon?). The whiptongue frog thing and the random triumph of the hordes with no other infect also looks a bit odd.
So... yeah. A little bit skeptical.
If it's real, though, I really like the enveloping chryslis. While it does absolutely nothing against some decks (*Cough*Animar*Cough*), it acts as a decent blocker that can totally disable certain decks a la Darksteel Mutation.
After some analysis, i think it'ìs fake
- only 3 legendary creatures and not 4 (like the foils) and only 2 are tricolor, so only 2 commander.
EDIT: just noticed Anafenza... still weird. C19 commander decks had 3 brand new general + a liutenant, they stopped reprint commanders a long time ago.
- lot of merge french vanilla and limited cards. Then suddenly the combo merge+evolve. Seems weird.
- why aren't there more new cards? Where are the cards from standard Ikoria?
- Cavernous Lair is broken as *****. That + myth unbound mean no commander tax.

Please, mill me. Mill my important cards. Mill my lands. Mill it all. Because I will still deal 20 damage before you can mill 45 cards most every time.
Whoever said it was wedge-based gets a Keto-inspired cookie (y).
Merge feels as though it'd have been an excellent throwback/reference to Bestow in Theros Beyond Death. Shame they didn't use it that way. Either way, it feels better than Bestow could ever be.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but the names of the cards and those places referenced give me an awful strong Indonesian/Malaysian feel for some reason. Anyone else feel that way?

Good catch with the only 2 new commanders however it could simply be due to not showing the new card of the other 2 if that’s the case so red flag there
A tarkir legend doesn’t make sense for a foil since you can already get a foil but I suppose for the legendary border that started on dominaria is another red flag
But the land and myth that’s not a red flag because dodging commander tax is not a first timing thing

While I am also skeptical, I do want to keep things in perspective
1. Anafenza would be the fourth legendary creature here (according to the decklist). Reprint commanders have been done before (it not particularly recently)
2. Keep in mind that there are only 70-something new cards split between 5 decks. I wouldn’t be surprised if the French vanilla merge cards were theoretically from the new set while the merge cost reducer and evolve merger were commander deck exclusives.
3. I recall hearing early on that the number of actual cards from Ikiora in these decks would be relatively small.
Edit: just realized some other card names on the list that aren’t real cards yet (Wardshell Tortoise stands out), which may also be the ikiora cards.
If this is real then Cavernous Lair is a pretty chintzy move on WotC's part. I understand that WotC has this weird sort of relationship with EDH, but they seem to really like printing cards that go out of their way to circumvent some of the EDH rules.
Merge also seems... annoying. It seems to work more like the creature is an equippable artifact and less like an enchantment.
Adding to the skepticism pile, the watchful loris text mentions becoming a creature again when no longer attached (as bestow) while the reminder text for bladed mantid lacks this text...
Merge is definitely clunky, and the overall theme / power-level is straight butts. Historically speaking, enchantments matter - as an EDH archetype - is either a trap or just very risky; the only thing to recommend Daxos' precon was the inclusion of Ghost Daddy, and Adaptive Enchantment (Estrid, the Masked et al) was just... fine. I won't hold my breath that this is a fake, but I will hold out hope that it's at least the worst of the 2020 decks.

was there hours earlier and was based on the exact same website. I only had to scroll down a little bit and there was the supposed list of new cards. I checked to see if there was a C20 new cards thread or a spoiler but to no avail. Then it took me forever to start this thread for the reasons I listed in the OP and still no one had beat me to it.
So it is possible that I'm just the guy gullible enough to fall for this and waste all of our time, while everybody else immediately saw through it.
It's just, as SonofaBith75 said in the other thread, this seems hella elaborate for a fake (paraphrasing).
The rules reminder for Watchful Loris is different from the rest (the creature that merge becomes a creature again if the mergee dies). If that is the real reminder text, then Enveloping Chrysalis is absurdly annoying. You can basically not use your commander ever again after that card comes into play (even if you sac it, they can just use the Chrysalis again) if you do not have exiling removal for enchantments. I do not think Wotc would do that.

True, in theory, you can use 1 card to get it back for 1 turn. You can also sac it and thus get it back with a ton of cards. In either case, if my Crysalis just falls off and becomes a creature again, then, I am using 2 mana to turn off your commander and you are paying a lot to turn it back on (getting it removed somehow + replaying it).
