trade routes was already a thing, but nice to have it in a different colour i guess.
I think it’s a better Trade Routes, albeit situationally. This has obvious synergy with “when you cycle”, and effects that trigger off of discarding. Not saying it’s a broken ability, but a much different and synergistic ability that that of Trade Routes.

Also, (and potentially more importantly), unlike Trade Routes, you can cycle away extra copies of the card. Plus, it's on color for Seismic Assault, which could potentially use a card like this, since that deck usually runs a ton of extra lands to make sure it has the necessary fuel for the assault.
Also this is great low key in color card draw for red. Love this design.

This makes Throes of Chaos look really bad as the "value from unwanted lands" card...
Throes of Chaos is still fun and Excellent in EDH and straight cast anything below 4 mana....Also, got combo potential.
In most cases, this is better - draw for R and cast whatever rather than a random cast for 3R. Throes might be better if you build your deck around it, possibly to cheat out suspends or stuff like that.
So, with Groundskeeper this is effectively "1RG: Draw a card." And Lightning Rift effectively turns every land card in your hand into a 1RShock with cantrip. That's playable in burn. With Groundskeeper, you can repeatedly cycle the same basic land card and shock an opponent for 2RG. Go Temur and you can keep half that mana open for a cheap counterspell until just before your next turn, when you activate the Groundskeeper to reload your land and do it again.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

I really love the way you think. I'm so going to try building that.

This could be extremely useful for Burn...pitch lands for extra gas.
As a long time Legacy Burn player my first thought was, "instant 4 of"...
