This Karn enables all the same nonsense infinite mana combos as creature Karn does. Karn, the Great Creator + Voltaic Construct + Any mana rock that taps for 3+ = infinite mana. Yay.

WoW just realized how it will be good to play as a commander in the modern-brawl my playgroup is playing. Having the ability to get any silver bullet in sideboard is probably too op for the house ruled format but is gonna make some nice colorless decks
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
In modern, this will see play. In standard, maybe build it through an artifact based deck. Those lockets you've collected and the Powerstone Shards are gonna be a good help
The set up to make it worthwhile is too much though. If you can proliferate two times a turn it's kind of neat, but if you can do that you can probably win in any number of ways that don't require a 4 drop walker and a 6 mana artifact.

I mean, yeah, if you can do XYZ cheaper/more efficiently than ABC it isn’t worth it. I get that. But if you want to do ABC, you can, and it’s gross. My point was more directed towards EDH where having multiple paths to do gross things is the way of the format.
Not sure how relevant it is, but his +1 pops moxes and artifact lands and his -2 goes nicely with the other 4 mana karn.
I was mostly only looking at his -2, and I was super excited. I hadn't thought about that for the +1, that is going to be so much fun! Watch Opal plummet in value even after Affinity gets better with this

Yay... a get-a-card-back-from-exile card. How soon before Wizards reprints AWOL
In all seriousness, I've never been a big fan of the whole getting-a-card-back-from exile-put-there-by-something-else idea. The exile zone is supposed to a holding place for certain card abilities or a place for cards to not come back from. Not Graveyard 2.0 that your opponent has virtually no way to interact with.
So who wants to come up with the new name for the absolutely-removed-from-the-freaking-game-forever zone?

I think what you are looking for is 'emblem' lol
But in all seriousness, I don't think there should be a zone that cannot be interacted with. The whole 'anything a card can do, another card can undo' idea to me is one of the neat things about this game. If you Path my stuff, most of the time I won't be able to do something about it because the cards that interact with exile are usually bad. That's fine. But I love it that I can wake up after an epic thrashing at FNM, swear that I am done folding to Path, and if I want to warp my deck, I can get around it. Nearly unlimited possibilities is why I play this over so many other games

Yeah, pretty gross to think about, isn’t it?

If this is the card that puts tron over the top, they'd likely just ban this
Standard - Some kind of control
Modern - UB Mill (casual)
EDH - Meren's Grave Shenanigans
