I was definitely not expecting a modern legal mom out of this set. Starting with the good, an extra point of toughness is always relevant for a one drop and adding colorless protection is important with all of the artifacts/eldrazi around. On the bad side, not protecting itself hurts a lot. Loss of human typing is relevant for modern and much less important in other formats.
Looking forward to playing with this one.

Seb McKinnon is getting a lot of commissions lately, I hope this trend continues (and they find other artists with similarly unique styles like him).
That being said, this AW is a not as interesting as some of his other stuff.
I am convinced Seb McKinnon cannot possibly make a bad piece of art. He’s one of the best in the game along with Magali Villeneuve and Raymond Swanland.
This is crazy. She isn’t Mom since she can’t protect herself, but she’s a Kor who can give protection from Eldrazi. That’s a great flavor win.

We can't see her ears and women Kor don't have beard barbels. So I don't think she looks any less Kor than Kor Spiritdancer or Devout Lightcaster.

Mechanically, it’s very nice. And I too am thankful she’s Kor and a Cleric, two currently underdog tribes.
