In fact, you get each spell thrice when you cast this with X=10+. There is the original cast which is *not* a copy. Then, you get two copies of that cast, for a total of three.
Given how this can get value off stuff like 1-mana cantrips and bolts, I wonder if there will be one-offs making it to competitive decks in eternal formats.

Yeah I sure read that wrong, 12 for 6 spells is better than decent if you can get to the mana.
this is a pretty interesting effect. on mana rate alone and discounting the sorcery speed, this is better than snapcaster mage.
seems like a neat way to recur a bolt and a cantrip at the same time for 3 mana, too. And wait, isn't this another card which works with living end and ancestral vision? haha! there might just be something to this.
the x=10+ clause is kinda ridiculous, but actually has some marginal precedent in formats like Modern. Storm (!!) and Jeskai control, for instance, often reach this sort of mana.

I first thought that was Bolas... But yes no horns in the silhouette and the spell looks more like it is Niv's style. But yeah you would have thought this would be a story spotlight.

If using Feather, you can Regrowth those spells via target one of your creatures. For example, use it to get Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning and target your Stuffy Doll, that's 6 damage to your opponent, then they return to your hand at the end of turn, for 1RR. Probably more worthwhile if you get spells that draw you cards though.

Well, that seems like a huge spoiler for how the story actually finishes... I wonder if it's related to Gideon's heroic attack with the Blackblade. It may weaken Bolas enough for Niv to swoop in and redirect the Elder spell.
One annoyance with this and the 0 mana spells in modern is that you would likely like to run cascade and nothing else under 3 than the 0 cost cards, and this cost 2...
Rules question:
Does the first part allow for extra costs like Kicker?
If so, would that Kicker effect be carried over to the copies?
Yes, you can pay the kicker cost since it is cast (you will need to pay though). I think the copies should copy the fact that you kicked them too, but am unsure.
