i kinda like it. not the best card ever. not as good as stormblood berserker was, but playable even in constructed i guess. but this will depend on the other possible 2 drops for aggro
Man; Mardu's GETTIN all the action. I picked the wrong clan.
Mardu's had more cards spoiled than any of the other clans so far for some reason. Kinda annoying, I really wanna see more Temur, Sultai, and Abzan cards.
At last! I was hoping Khans would provide some solid red two drops.
Like most of the raid creatures, it has anti-synergy with things like Foundry Street Denizen, but I like that. Games are more fun when you have to decide between getting different kinds of value, rather than everything automatically being all upside.
Granted, it will be an easy decision most of the time, but it still adds choices where the right decision might not always be obvious.
Seems like an excellent aggro 2-drop, pretty much always a 3/2 for 1R with the upside of dodging tokens and Caryatid. I would put it somewhere between Gore-House Chainwalker and Stormblood Berserker, which is a really good place to be in a lower-powered standard. Almost garuanteed to see lots of play in Standard. (If it doesn't, then it means either the main aggro deck is not red or it means that aggro is INSANELY good)
Excellent uncommon
Sad to say, but it looks like uncommons of this set are better designed then the rares
That is how I like it, the solid cards that make up the backbone of Constructed are uncommons while the rares are the "interesting but overcosted", "casual", "Commander only cards", and finishers in good decks. Solid 1-3cmc cards should be able to be uncommon.(higher cmc constructed cards need to be rare because they are usually to strong in Limited to be uncommon. Rarity should be about how complicated the card is and for balancing Limited, not about making every constructed playable card cost money.
Simple but effective card, 3/2 for 2 with Raid and all upside, last ability could be relevant sometimes for getting around dorks or small DT guys. I like.

War-Name Aspirant 1R
Creature -- Human Warrior (Uncommon) Raid -- War-Name Aspirant enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it if you attacked with a creature this turn.
War-Name Aspirant can't be blocked by creatures with power 1 or less.
2/1
I dunno, stormblood requires connecting to get the bonus PT, and it has less power if you fail to activate bloodrush. War-Name is a little bit weaker, over all (with the 1 less toughness, and only needing to be blocked by 1 creature stuff), but it's also got a much easier trigger, and if you can't activate that trigger for some reason, it's a better body than an unactivated stormblood.

Well they are the aspect speed of the set. There so fast that they get spoiled first.
Am I the only one seeing a better Borderland Marauder here? This would kill as a common in Limited. I'm kinda glad it's uncommon. I'll be playing this in Constructed.
Please note: At least for this setting wizards has apparently abolished boob armor, which is nice.
Anyway, I like the card. It definitely couldn't be common, because even if it's not triggered it's functionally a bear in red, with some upshot even. That's not something that's happening at common.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)

Playable! I like that it goes right through Elspeth tokens or other 1/X's.
