That's pretty sweet since it does stuff, but I was hoping for something that wasn't a normal Naya strategy... counters and pings? Okay I guess. It seems "good" but not something that makes me want to play Naya.
I feel like this commander is missing something, I love the art and the idea but even with the obvious interactions with doubling season and the like I can't see myself wanting to play him.
Marath might actually be Legacy-playable, as creatures that act as removal are pretty powerful there--heck, even Granger Guildmage sees slight play because Green Sun's Zenith can find it and it can ping X/1's! Turning into token(s) when it kills itself in response to removal is also pretty sweet. It's a shame that it doesn't play nice with GSZ itself, though.
Is it just me or is the design of shards cards quite boring and uninspired in comparison to wedges cards.
The fifth Commander 2.0 legend spoiled and the fifth time that the card doesn't touch me.
Well, the shards have already had their identities explored in detail during the Shards of Alara block, so I think it's just the fact that these are more familiar than the wedges. That being said, I'm very happy with what I've seen, and while yeah, this is kinda straight forward, I like it, and has plenty of flexibility.
I really love the artwork on this card! I'd give this guy a shot, but I already have a Vorel +1/+1 counter themed deck, and I think I'm out of lands to support a Naya Commander deck.
