It may be fairly obvious and I'm just oblivious, but where can I actually purchase these?
Usually most comic book stores will have them as well as several LGS that knows about them and ordered them. Most of the time it'll be easily found in most comic book shops, however one warning is that they most likely is underordered or sold out quicker than expected so don't get upset if it's hard to find a copy with the promo attached (alternate covers as far as I know does not have the promo card, only the regular version).
As for the increase in msrp, that's new! I never expected it to go from $3.99 for volume 1 then go to $4.99 for volume 2, that can cut the print run into half seeing most comic buyers does not like paying more than $3.99 per copy and will drop the comic if it cost too much for 32 pages (7 pages is all advertisements although IDW manages to cut that into half unlike Marvel).
Well atleast this is one comic I don't have to worry about purchasing. What a complete rip at 5. I understand Hasbro and their money grubbing wants, but didn't they notice the whole debacle with DC and Marvel as they slowly increased price? I think 5 is probly going to keep me from picking it up. 4 was fine, but I just don't think 5 is something I want to deal with unless it is like a 40+ pager.
Juuust wanted to remind you guys that this is issue #1 of 4 of "The Spell Thief", not the recently released comic that came with Treasure Hunt. Awaiting moar promo reveals.

O, it looked like that was the variation cover #1 of 4. If it is a standalone series that means that it is running more pages than the typical comic. Makes sense then.
The plane is made of Titans, every creature is a titan on the plane so when everyone is overpowered, no one is.
That sounds... *shades on*... titanic. YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH
Back on topic, I guess that means that there have been enough sales of the comic to allow WotC to commission a second run? Anyone got any idea exactly how popular it's been so far? I always saw it as a bit of a gimmicky attempt to break into new markets, but if they've had success...
So this is a new series...we may get some hints about the next block from these comics if they continue to relate the comics to the current block's plane. Cool beans, seems there are Titans and manors on this new plane...

I think it's 100% obvious at this point that Dack is a Planeswalker in AVR
How so? We know the comic series will take him to Innistrad, but that doesn't mean he'll be appearing as a card. I'd be very surprised if he did, actually.
This is pretty clearly Issue #2 of the only M:TG comic series IDW is publishing. "Planeswalker Dack Fayden has followed Sifa Grent into a mysterious plane" is where Issue #1 left off. There's no second series. IDW has a well known history of weird mistakes in their site and press releases, the "#1 of 4" could mean the cover art or could just be a mistake.

Electrolyze kinda seals the deal on Dack being R/B, which is sad because I was really rooting for Ral Zarek in AVR...

But by the looks of it, it's Markov Manor.
