We were fortunate enough over at BJ Shea's Geek Nation (www.bjgeeknation.com) to be able to preview the new card, Fungal Sprouting.
It's up on our facebook page (www.facebook.com/bjgeeknation), and while I am posting it here, please head over, like the page and comment on the card there if you have the chance!
Seems like an OK card. On turn 4, you could be getting 3 creatures, which is fair. Later in the game it could get you even more. Unfortunately, I don't know how reliable it's going to be.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
The card is pretty solid. It could be a gamebreaker in limited.
Bingo. Might see some fringe play in something like Junk Tokens after rotation, but it's real power is in limited since it's virtually impossible to blank the effect. I dread the guy that opens the Sublime Angel and this card in draft. Tag you for 7 in the air, post-combat put 7 1/1s into play.
I swear those are the creepiest Saprolings. I don't know why, they just really creep me out.
Neat card, though. Not sure if it'll fit into my Rhys EDH, but eeh...this seems like the kind of card that Wizards would make a rare, so I'm glad they didn't.
The nice thing about this is that token strategies often force you to commit heavily to it, whereas this is very splashable into an non-token deck that has some token synergies.

Sweet, Ghave Flavor Text. And now I have to dig out some spot for this card in my deck.
Solid card, potential limited bomb, will likely see constructed play.
No, this card depends on having a creature in play otherwise it does nothing. So I doubt it will see constructed play, it will be fun in casual and limited though.
Meh, seems extremely vulnerable. It's only good if you have a 5+ power creature in play; and if you do, chances are you're already winning. I don't see this getting any serious play at all.
Notice how amazingly well it works with Sublime Archangel. You can attack with a creature for lots of exalted, then cast this to get about 6-7 tokens out.

Swords depends on having a creature in play otherwise they do nothing.
I also agree that this is very likely to see contructed play... i don't know if competitive, but i may go at least for a tier 2 deck, specially with rancor (which also needs a creature in play)

Actually, swords sit there as an artifact permanent. That's not a lot, but it's something.
Useless for dedicated token swarm decks. Token strategies don't usually have single big creatures and they want to create tokens without needing any board presence especially since they are vulnerable to sweepers.

Oh good, because Fungal Growth wasn't imbalanced already with Infestors. Come on, Zerg needs a nerf.
Back to the multiverse, an interesting little card. Like others have mentioned already, it actually doesn't play well with dedicated token decks because those rarely have creatures with high power, rather opting for many little weak ones. Maybe if this card counted the number of creatures you control.
As is though, it fits in some kind of half-token, half-fatty deck. I can see some kind of mono-green deck maybe abusing this with as a finisher alongside Dungrove Elder for the few months it's legal. Worth a shot.
Card itself is decent, great in limited, below average in constructed. The fact that it requires something on board first before it does anything makes it kind of iffy to actually play it.
It's still not colorless, and has no color. That's a paradox. So either you're a Zen master or an idiot, I'll assume the Zen master for sake of argument. This card will have no paradoxes because it has a clear paradox. Deep stuff man.

I predict this card to get lots of love when RTR comes out, but for now, doubling your most powerful creature is nothing to sneeze at, either.
