Helvault is interesting.... I am wondering if it will see much play. It seems like a good wrath proofing card that you can Grudge at the opponents end step for the win.
Lingering Souls seems pretty, pretty needed. 1 card, 5 mana, 4 1/1 fliers... maybe a little OP, but hey, who is complaining? Turn my creatures sideways for days.
I don't really see it as a bad draw most of the time. If you draw it and drop it, it's a blatant show that you can and will take away Christmas if someone messes with you.
Decks:
Standard WRath abuse BR Burning Crawler W Puresteel Humans
EDH:
Azusa, Lost but Seeking
Zirilan of the Claw
Ghost Council of Orzhova
Rosheen, the Meanderer
Vela the Night-Clad
Helvault is interesting to say at least. Evasive shenanigans ahoy.
How about... Exile your dudes, Blasphemous Act, Ancient Grudge your Helvault.
Surprise!
It's complicated though... perhaps too convoluted to be run in a deck.
At the very least you can make your opponent's removal fizzle assuming you have a way to off the Helvault when you want your creature(s) back. Perhaps someone will abuse CIP effects with this?
More token love, always nice. I'm looking into building a token deck.
B/W is my favorite color pairing and I'm always looking for ways to change up my casual B/W deck.
Nothing in this game is degenerate or completely dominant. They haven't banned anything in standard in a long, long time. Hell they should have banned affinity right away, but they didn't until boxed sales collapsed too. Hasbro had to come in and fire people.
I'll enjoy watching all the whiners eat crow monday.
So between Lingering Souls and Vault of the Archangel, I guess Aaron Forsythe was right about even more goodies being in store for B/W token decks besides just Sorin 2.0.
I like both alot - Helvault mostly for flavor (although with the self-sac route could certainly be practical for packaging up your critters to dodge removal/etc) and the token gen for just being plain awesome.
Helvault seems like an interesting. Potentially refilling lost troops from earlier after you DoJ. The alternative is for a late game removal effect. I like it.
Lingering Souls seems potent. It reminds me of Acorn Harvest a little bit, but the evasion is handy and you clock it out faster!- More tokens generation: Goodness all the tokens. *Finds a ratchet bomb*
BW Tokens is, in fact, a deck now. Pretty sure of that with just this printing. So people better stop hating on sorin because I'm pretty sure he's going to be ridiculous.
Helvault seems like it would be cool in an EtB abuse type of EDH deck. In standard, it seems interesting but not great since it costs 7 to temporarily kill an opponents creature.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."

MTGS egos at their finest.
Thoughts on proxies:
Lingering should made BW tokens officially viable! Now I just have to find the money for all of those sorins...

Midnight Hauntings that swaps instant speed with 1B flash back. Pretty good.
Who's eating crow?

The other card makes Black/White tokens considerably better. Also very good in draft.
Custom Set: Pokemon: Generation 1
My mind numbing DC-10 stack!

Wait, how do I even hide it as a name title?
Kemba, Kostume

And it's great to see the "legend rule" being used to a card's advantage. I wonder how top-down Helvault was?
