Many of you who cracked packs today at the M10 prerelease will recognize this new art and splash for Zendikar. Of note, these appear to be broken obelisks with some kind of glyphs etched onto their surface. You have to squint to see the glyphs, but this seems to support the "Indiana Jones" character of the plane a bit.
edit mods: this is hosted on my personal site, but I've tried to attach it and failed twice. Want to not have to resize it smaller. If you could attach it that would be great, if it's a size cap issue just ignore and I'll move it later. Thx
It's been roughly accepted that it is indeed a new plane.

I'm checking up on the artist, Jung Park, and interestingly enough, he works for Sony and does more graphic animation, having done work on God of War, the Final Fantasy series and some others. There's a few unaccounted-for arts in his gallery that could possible be Zendikar work.
Specifically, the "Tree" and "Temple" arts seem to share some features with the given art, and have very non-specific titles for an accomplished artist.
Edit: They're both copyright 2007. When did work on Zendikar start? Not a dealbreaker but I'm wondering how the timeline would work there.
Cool, I guess. Although I think we've seen the "floating and/or impossibly balanced topheavy geometric objects" theme about five or six times in previous blocks. I guess it's a popular concept with someone in WotC

They're magical, OKAY?! Gosh, learn to suspend disbelief. What do you think this is, real life?!

Looks nice. Fits with the Indiana Jones theme. Could look like a place to go search for priceless treasures, while avoiding all the deadly perils. Looks nice. Wonder what kind of card this art is for. Land?
Or it could maybe be a tutor or removal? Its hard to say.
Well, I have not seen this card at all at yesterday's prerelease.
Anyway, I agree that this pretty fits the Indiana Jones theme. And, by the way, these objects heavily remind me of the Zendikar set symbol, that appeared to be a diamond - now it can easily be one of those.

On a more relevant note:
Zendikar look awesome. If these obelisks are so special, would there be one for each basic land type and this is the mountain one? Or maybe these is a non basic land.
Also since they are showing us a picture of a land instead of creatures, does that mean Zendikar will have a "land" theme?

Yeah, this kind of reminds me of how the mountains were in Time Spiral.

At any rate, I do wonder how much there will be for Artifacts... Artifacts fit the theme of "treasure" and what not.
I just realized that perhaps Artifacts and Enchantments will play more of a role with this block. There are many times they represent ancient objects or spells, but a card like Open the Vaults just reminded me that both those card types may be treasures.
And who knows, maybe this will lead to some more uses for Borderposts.

'tree' and 'temple' aren't magic art: there's a person in a spacesuit in both of them.
