I am glade he is better! I was sad when i saw his other version. I like the way the guys can get bigger as you use his first ability.
I am glade thats how evoke works. I was already drawing up a Blink evoke deck, and here we are!
5 color blink it is, love that 2cc t: 2 mana of any color for elementals, guy.
nice. i think the green guy might be played in limited but not much else unless in some kinda mono green casual. jace looks badass. i really hope i pull him at the prerealese and trade him for a korlash.
LOL, that one guy who said that there was going to be a green wrath effect was right!!!! that means he may be right about the blue llanowar elves guy toooo. this excites me very much.
Wow jace is a house in limited (pretty much need to get his ten ability off once, and you'll probably win the game), and ajani has a better second ability then first anticipated. Man I can not wait to be able to draft this set.
The thresher seems pretty good limited since it has Flash and a fairly cheap evoke cost. It will definitely help out those decks playing against Faeries in limited. It can also make a great beatstick as a creature considering it is a 7/7 for fatty green decks.

I like the cloudthresher. It's cheap for its size, it can be evoked for cheaper, and it can block and kill both Akromas (including the one that people actually use). It's too bad I was already turned off to magic altogether by yesterday's red giant preview. Will cloudthresher fit into my warhammer deck?
I'm actually quite impressed with Cloudthresher. Yes it requires pretty much mono-green (perhaps splashing in other colours) but 7/7 for 6 flash with a few extra useful abilities is a good ratio. Combine that with the fact it can be a mini hurricane. Good stuff all around.
so, Green gets another undercosted creature...
The mana cost of Cloudthresher reminds me of the classic Force of Nature (back then it was casting cost), oh the good old day.
Also, Evoke doesn't entail any sort of inherent flash ability... If the creature doesn't have flash, it's "just" a sorcery. I think there was lots of speculation that that wouldn't be the case...
Cloudthresher is pretty much trash. His abilities are fairly useless. Only his p/t to converted mana cost is good, but his mana cost prohibits you from playing him in anything but a dedicated mono-Green deck. I'm curious, though, why does he not have the anti-reanimation clause like the other large elementals?
I like Cloudthresher. I'm sure He will see play in a green/x (probably black or blue) control deck alongside tarmogoyf, the green command (plow under!) and garruk the planeswalker of 8/9 goyfs.
I think this guy is really interesting being very versitile and both of his modes have a lot of powerful applications. yeah, GGGG is a lot of green mana, but he is ultimately only six, and sixes are incredibly playable, especially when they are bigger than a simic sky swallower for less mana

the other large elementals are the incarnations, and only those have the "anti-reanimation" shuffling clause.
I really like cloudthresher and i'm hoping that green gets a few more good elementals to go with the good red ones
Ajani is so much better than originally spoiled. He'll see play. Bumps him up from the worst, to third.
An anthem that sticks around even after it's dead... Pretty nice. Quite nice.

the token ajani makes is different than spoiled too - it updates as your life total changes. That makes for an interesting option in a life gaining deck and gives you a really good reason to keep Ajani alive after using the ability.

So the white one actually turned out okay, just like the rest of them. Well I am glad they didn't drop the ball on the white one like was previously spoiled. And all the pwalkers turned out okay in the end. All of them are bombs in limited and have potential existence out of that format. Well done in my opinion.
Naturally the elemental has "Smokebraiders" (aka Smokeroller) written on him to help out with that back end cost. (Doesn't anyone remember Mirrodin? AT ALL? Jeees.) There is a reason they made the card so you could be able to pay all the double costs.

I am glad Ajani didn't end up being the spoiled version; this one seems a lot more worth the cost!

Apparently, the creature does come into play before being sacrificed and you can respond to it.
This makes creatures with evoke a lot more interesting and abusive, methinks.

Glad that the White Planeswalker is better (the +1/+1 counters instead of eot) Jace will see play, but I'm not that impressed

Here's the solution.
Ajani might have a place with a kithkin horde now, but is in danger of becoming a "win more" card with the same CC as wrath.
Only the incarnations cycle are given "anti-reanimation" clause, not big elementals in general.
An anthem that sticks around even after it's dead... Pretty nice. Quite nice.

And wow, planewalkers cards are way beautiful lol. I'll buy a playset of Jace easily!
