Nice find, now we know the name of the third set in the block.
Or.....rather.....the first set of the second block of Lorwyn.
The name also seems to imply that the first 'block' will focus on the lighter, more innocent side of Lorwyn while the second 'block' will look at the more evil, darker side of Lorwyn.
EDIT: This seems unusually early to get the book name for the April release, isn't it? Not crying fake or anything, just curious as to how early this is in relation to past blocks.

Well, this seems to fit the "day/night" blocks theory that many people have been speculating. I wonder though, if it's still Lorwyn, why they chose to make it a separate block? That seems kinda like an arbitrary decision.

Probably for balancing the light and dark sides. Whenever I think of the speculation for Lorwyn, I think of the Legend of Zelda series. In various games, it has had light and dark worlds. Sometimes the dark world is completely separate from the light world and they are two distinct places. Sometimes, one is just a mirror image of the other, just darker or lighter. I think Majora's Masque used one world, but it had a daytime and nighttime which caused different types of creatures to appear or events to occur, depending on the time of day. I picture Lorwyn as adopting one of these ideas. The worlds are equal in Zelda, and to represent this in Lorwyn they made two equal blocks.
Note that it says 'Book 3, Lorwyn Cycle'. Maybe they're calling a set of related blocks a Cycle? (Not sure if they did this before.)
Odyssey Cycle, etc.
No, they always did it.
I think it was a catch-all that let then group older storylines (not directly attached to expansions) together.
And now it helps out nicely in connecting these two blocks.

The description specifies that this book is an anthology of short stories set in the world of Lorwyn. What this suggests to me is that this book isn't tied to a set at all but rather is the "completion" of the Lorwyn trilogy given the fact that there are only two sets of novels.
I gotta agree with Sayron here; Rosewater said the blocks had separate Creative elements, here:
Quote from "Rosewater" »
Each block had to have its own Creative. You should be able to tell the blocks apart solely by looking at the creative elements (art, name and flavor text). This doesn't mean the two worlds can't be connected in some way, but each had to have a look and feel that was its own.
I would say this is just an anthology wrapping up things in Lorwyn, possibly tying it into the next two-set block if there is a creative connection there. Anthologies, btw, have been in high demand on the Storyline forums for some time.
I'd agree with Gerrad's mom and Sayron on this one, but for different reasons.
An anthology, I think, would actually be a better way to end the story than what we ususally see in final installments (Cough, Scourge, Cough.) This way we can end the storyline simply, without the authors feeling the need to add another complete event to it, which often gives the book an awkward feeling.

that rosewater quote sort of makes it seem more likely to me that both blocks take place in lorwyn, the second after some sort of radical change. why would he bother to say "this doesn't mean the two worlds can't be connected in some way" if the two worlds weren't, in fact, connected in some way? all that quote says is that there's a different feel to each block, and that's totally supportable by the theories people have mentioned.

While that seems like a very valid line of reasoning, the question would be...why is the book coming out in April? (When the Jelly book will drop)

He would probably say that to get us to speculate about the two blocks.
if Shadowfall is truly Jelly (which i'm not convinced yet it is) then...
is this WotC's chance to use the day/night mechanic they've talked about wanting to do which was replaced by the Shadow mechanic?
Yes, that is the argument I am trying to push home.
Some on the thread think it is just a third book.
If it was an anthology it would not have an expansiony name.
It is the 2nd core set for sure guys.
Shadowfall is a great name, and clearly points to Lorwyn being tribal.
(Someone had to say it.)
On a serious note I really doubt that they're releasing a third book to complete the Lorwyn novel set in the exact same month that the third, as-yet-unnamed expansion set in the Lorwyn cycle (which is as good a name to call the whole thing as any). C'mon guys.
I think the date is the most convincing argument, which would lead to the following conclusions:
* 'Jelly' will be called Shadowfall
* Shadowfall is directly related to the Lorwyn-plane, but is somehow 'darker' (either in another timeframe, a mirror-universe or the other side of the planet)
* There will be a fourth book in the Lorwyn-cycle, to accompany 'Dougnut'. This would also explain why there's now room for an anthology.
Yes, Light World and Dark World... and "cute" Celtic mythology. Hmmmm.... Twilight Princess? Actually I think it's quite the cool concept, and makes a ton of sense given that it was the original theme/mechanic idea for Kamigawa, right?
EDIT: Ah, yes. MaRo's Flipping Out article:
Quote from Mark Rosewater »
In addition, the team realized that a lot of Japanese mythology involved the idea of a spirit world, that all things in the mortal world had a parallel spirit in another world. This too they felt was important to represent. And in good designer tradition, they decided to combine the two together. The earliest mechanic was dubbed Day/Night. The idea behind it was that the game would have two states, the Day state that represented the mortal world and the Night state that represented the spirit world. Certain creatures would gain a bonus during Day while others would gain one during Night. It was decided that the normal game state would be Day, as Day represented the world as we know it. And then some trigger would turn the game state to Night where all the Night effects would happen.
And just for more fun, although I'm quite sure a lot of other people have looked into this...
Quote from Wikipedia entry on seelie/unseelie »
The Seelie (Blessed or Holy) Court was seen as more beneficent toward humans. [...] The most common time of day to see them was twilight.
The Unseelie (Unholy) Court consisted of the malicious and evilly-inclined fairies. [...] they would appear at night and assault travelers.
Quote from Wikipedia entry on Celtic calendar »
Among the Insular Celts, the year was divided into a light half and a dark half. As the day was seen as beginning at sunset, so the year was seen as beginning with the arrival of the darkness, at Samhain, the first of November. The light half of the year started at Beltane, the first of May.

Correct me if i'm wrong, and i probably am as i am most of the time, but isn't "shadowfall" and "Jelly" reffering to the same set?

*ahem* Lorwyn Dusk?
Very Well Then I Contradict Myself.
This whole premise of 'Dark side and light side' was based around the belife that 'Lorwyn: Dusk' was the Third block/book.
Lorwyn-Lorwyn cycle-book 1 (Peanut)
Morningtide-Lorwyn cycle book-2 (Butter)
Shadowfall-Lorwyn cycle-book 3 (Jelly)
Dusk-Lorwyn cycle book 4 (Doughnut)
I starts in the Day theme of the plane, then goes in to the Night theme.
Same connected story, two mechanicly different blocks.
