Well at least the r/w has 2 Lightning Helix and the g/b has 2 Putrefy, that will make them for some people easier to get. We sort of got janked this time around on the rares through, but I wasn't really expecting the new duals to be in them, however it does follow the interest of flavor to have the guild hero or leader in the pre-cons.
They all have decent rares in them, I honestly like the dimir deck the most since those are my colors, but the Boros has some really good cards in it. SO that means the rare lands aren't in them All well didn't really expect them to be there. Just my 1 nickel.
To me, the Boros looks like the investment one with two Lightning Helix, but I think the Golgari is the strongest deck here. It looks consistent to me - well, more consistent than the average theme deck. Plus Recollect has great synergy with the guild.
Hmm. There are only 60 cards in each deck. Weren't there supposed to be 64? There must be some differences between the digital and physical versions. Maybe they're putting the noodles in the physical decks.[/wishfull thinking]
If this is correct, the value of the rav duals just went up. Some sellers have been preselling them as low as $15 (although they tend to go for about $25 in regular auctions that are left to end at whatever price people are willing to pay for them). I think many sellers started selling them as cheap as they could because they thought they'd be in the precons. Assuming those lists are right, the value of the duals goes back above $20 (and more). Think Pithing Needle - $20 rare. And that's from a small set where things are easier to get.

omg, this is crazy, i went to the pre-release on the main and second flight. i didnt get any duals from all the packs i opened. >.< i was trying to trade/get them from anyone there. but nobody wants to trade them. i guess i'll be playing more drafts to get them and hope to get lucky on them.
I and others already highly doubted that in a speculation thread, primary reasons being that these decks are aimed at people who don't buy a lot of a set and/or are new to expert sets. Lands then are less "wow" then other stuff (in this case guild champions).
It was pretty sure the person who said there would be duals, mixed them up with the guildlands (of which every deck has one).
The decks look pretty fun, especially against eachother. They aren't really bad for starting players or multiplayer mayhem. I think they are well designed. Kudos to the team that made them.
No duals? Meh... not interested in them then. I'll just have to wait for the dual's price to drop some before getting mine.

Some one mentioned that these are only 60 cards... and i believe someone mentioned on the MTG site that the new theme decks are packaged at 64.... I wonder what the other 4 cards are.... i was figuring that one was a pro-player card (ick).. Since they're not listed in the MTGO beta deck list that may mean they're 4 random "chase cards" which would be a selling point for the pre-cons... pay 12 bucks get 4 random rares + the rares and goodness of Lightning Helix/Putrefy. I'd buy a few Pre-cons for sure then...

Wait....so people are suprised the duals aren't in the decks? hehe.
I think its cool that a guild legend is in each deck.
The decks look...solid, IMO.
And that is probably in the spirit of the guilds, as they just work well together.

hey well it was just a thought... maybe its 4 random foils from the set? i mean it has to be something right? if it were 4 pro-player cards i think that'd make the precons sell even less..... Well they'd useable as Saproling tokens or +1/+1 counters then.... Or coasters... Mini frisbees.... tinder...
Maybe they're printing Tokens and throughing them in there for each hunted or something... that'd be nifty...

I'm almost certain that the 4 "bonus" cards will be creature tokens. Given the large number of tokens that exist in this set, as well as the mention of the tokens in *two* different articles (one on the token's art, and the other on the history of tokens) it stands to reason that there will be - 1 random foil (like in the Kamigawa precons) 1 pro-player card (because they hate us) and 2 creature tokens. Although I suppose it is possible there will be 4 tokens and the pro-player card and foil will just be added in there on top of the extra four cards.
It would have been nice to have the duals in them, but ohh well. I like the Dimir deck as I love mill decks. It does need a lot of work but I think all the decks have good cards in them that might be worth the $10.

The reason I play black according to CrovaxtheCursed:
Those precons look really hot, much better than in the past, as far as general power level amongst them. Clealry the two most popular guilds it seems, Golgari and Boros, seem to have the better decks. Lightening Helix and Putrefy coming as two ofs is incredibly awesome [seen as how they are both insane removal].
Evidently, since the MTGO precons have only 60 cards as opposed to the afore mentioned long ago 64 cards, it's safe to assume that the 4 extra cards are irrelevant or unnecessary for online play. Creature Tokens are most definitly the most likely option.

I was planning on buying a box of precons for the duals...
Guess I'll have to invest that money on eBay instead.

Certain other people refused to listen, and worse, kept trying to badmouth the perfectly sound explanations.
Hopefully, people weren't victimized and didn't waste money preordering a bunch of redundant copies of precons.
I'd love input and advice!
