From the same source as the red and black commons with non-mana splice costs. Sorry I didn't post them along with the others. I was at work, and after typing in the first two, a patient needed help and I never got back to the computer. Serves me right for trying to rumor-monger during work :smile2:
Veil of Secrecy -
Instant - Arcane (C)
Target creature is unblockable and can’t be the target of spells or abilities this turn.
Splice onto Arcane - Return a blue creature you control to its owner’s hand. (As you play an Arcane spell, you may reveal this card from your hand and pay its splice cost. If you do, add this card’s effects to that spell.)
Without Splice, playable in some limited situations. Save a creature from removal, or push through for the win. Splice doesn't help this much, since this isn't likely an effect you need to repeat. Either your creature is saved from the removal, or you push through for the win. The interesting part of course is that the Splice cost is sometimes a plus. Bounce back a Ninja to ninjutsu in. Lots of bouncy tricks available (as if there weren't enough already). Like I said, limited playable.
Roar of Jukai -
Instant - Arcane (C)
If you control a Forest, each blocked creature gets +2/+2 until end of turn.
Splice onto Arcane - An opponent gains 5 life. (As you play an Arcane spell, you may reveal this card from your hand and pay its splice cost. If you do, add this card’s effects to that spell.)
Without Splice, a fairly weak combat trick. Unless you manage to create an unusual blocking situation where your opponent blocks your five snake tokens with his five grizzly bears, this is probably just a very overcosted giant growth that you can only use on the offense (not when blocking, not when a creature is getting burned, etc). Unfortunately the Splice cost isn't much help here. Ouch.
Nevertheless, there's the rest of the cycle!
Less than five days until the prerelease! I'm expecting quite a load of information tomorrow... and maybe someone will find the entire spoiler or something. Get out there and look, it's coming!
well more decently playable limited commons, like most everything else we have seen. i hope you do get a load of info tomorrow R_E, that will be nice to see.
wow looks awesome to me...im just wondering if the first one would be useable in my U/B/r/g GAT deck....unblockable and untargetable is pretty sweet..unless they respond Stp

Demon’s Horn has a reputation in multiplayer games, Lursen said.“Usually if somebody in multiplayer plays a Demon’s Horn, we all just immediately attack that person, because he’s going to win,” Lursen said.
The Veil is pretty cool however most blue creatures worth returning for the splice cost would probably be ninjas (low mana cost) because most of the blue creatures in T2 are higher costed like Meloku.
Edit: wow even without splice the viel is an awesome card in U/G control b/c if they run Echoing Decay vs your Rude Awakening you can effictively counter it by responding to them playing the Echoing Decay. You can counter most of the rest of the echoing cycle like this to.
Both decidedly mediocre, The only benefit is the fact that they're arcane and can be used to splice better spells.
The roar of jukai is only useful as R_E already said in the rare occasions that you can get your opponent to block your small creatures with his slightly larger creatures, it doesn't do any extra damage, it doesn't help your blockers and the splice cost means that even if you set up a 2 for 1 trade your opponent is a heap of life up on you(which is bad in limited).
Veil of Secrecy is slightly better in that in the right circumstances it can get through the last bit of damage for a win, it also serves as a sort of counterspell against kill spells. it's splice cost is also a bit better allowing you to return ninjas or even spirits(for spiritcraft triggers) to hand. I can see veil of secrecy getting a decent amount of play in limited.
hmm, better change this thread's title... not only is "Veil of Secretions" wrong, I, for the sake of decency am not going to ask what the playtest Unhinged version was. :puke:
wow, getting cards so fast now, hopefully the site change wont affect our getting the spoiler in time.
Anyway, the blue one seems ok, and the green one could be good in the right kind of limited deck. Fast with lots of small creatures.

So does this mean that these two are last of splice cards to be spoiled. If so thats weak. Splice is my favorite mechanic in the Kamigawa block and to have only these five splice cards is not much support.:crying:
The Blue one could also be used to counter creature pump or enchantments on their creatures or dodge removal (both with the spell and bouncing a creature.
The green one combos with Kodama of the South Tree or any trampling creature really.
Veil of Secretions is very sexy; Roar of Jukai is one of the worst cards printed this century. It has no constructed or limited applications...usually pump is good but not this. But...for every Chrome Mox there has to be a Chimney Imp.
These alternate splice costs are too much diffuculty to use to an advantage(not counting the white one)
I originaly thought about that False Cure deck with the alternatve cost cards from Masques block but then I realized you needed to splice it on to something thereby weakening severly but oh well.
Im starting to like Veil but you will rarely splice it so it its and interesting choice in limited and what not but you cant really use both abilities
if you want to swing for unblockable and protect your creature the can just do their kill spell in response
hmmm, Veil of Secrecy is a very good card, especially in conjunction with Ninjas (I smell a semi-tribal block deck, forming). But since that has already been discusssed, I'll move on.
Roar of Jukai is very situational, but in those situations it's a killer. It breaks creature lock combat math WIDE open, sometimes turning a kamikazi charge into a one-sided Wrath. I'll admit that's a bit extreme, but let's face it: if every creature you just blocked suddenly got +2/+2, you're not going to have much to retaliate with, not to mention that the attacker will probably be able to muster another wave next turn. This just becomes more fun with Splice, and I can see a situation where, by paying 3GR and letting your opponent gain 5 life, every blocked creature you control gets +4/+4, and you get to burn off one of the guys that hung back.

Some wonder why I carry 8 decks on me. The answer? I get tired of being boarded against in casual games, and 90% of the players I meet can't beat a jank deck I made to be tokens for a serious one.
i like the blue one a lot better then the green one.. the green one might go well in a snake deck (lots of little blockers nice little combat trick), the blue one works pretty well with ninjas, and u can bounce a ninja as the splice cost and ninjitsu it back in, so thats pretty handy
The Green one is good if your opponent THINKS you have ninja. If you have, say, 1GUU open and your opponent thinks you have still wind in hand (i.e. justifying an alpha strike to get it on the table), you could be reaching through mists for some serious card advantage.
The blue one is nice, as mentioned, for ninjas. I was hoping it would be useful with the Dampen Thoughts deck, but oh well. Especially good because all ninjas so far (and probably all) are saboteurs (even if one of them only peeks).
Veil of secrecy is easily the best one of the lot. Blue already has the lion's share of good splicing possibilities, and this has great synergy with ninjas both in making them unblockable and returning them to your hand. Plus, you can save multiple creatures as a fast effect using the splice - return one to your hand while making another untargetable and unblockable.
Green's is only good with a lot of trampling guys or in some bizarre rushing horde thing. Eh. Gaining 5 life isn't the worst splice cost, but it's a bit awkward. Sure, I'll give opponents 5 life for Rampage:2 on a bunch of creatures some times, but more often than not it'll suck.
