Sorcery - Arcane (C)
Put target land on top of its owner's library.
So... it's an Arcane sorcery that costs one less than Plow Under and only does one land? Plow Under? The core set card?
...I think I might cry.
EDIT: No, really, it's not so bad, since I like Arcane spells for Spiritcraft decks, but honestly now. At least it's a common, which does sort of make up for the disparate power levels.
Eh. Seems quite a bit poor/slow in comparision to other cards. Could find a place in a casual deck with Rootrunner, Fallow Earth, Plow Under, Stunted Growth, Temporal Spring, etc. Then again, a casual deck that ran all that stuff would be likely to get you smashed in the face and left in a gutter.

hmmm... sounds like my kinda deck ;)...
good find, R_E! Perhaps U/G Tempo-control could become viable in block, running this, rootrunner, hinder, some bounce, Ninja of the Deep Hours, the new blue ki-flipper, Azusa, and meloku as a finisher...
It seems like wizards is slowly turning green into a more and more tempo based color, and this seems to be a type of tempo that they like a lot. Its not that powerful, and most likely see any play, but I think it is here because it is a nice, simple, fun card, and wizards is trying to get green enough different things into the color pie.

I agree it is absoulutely nothing special until you take into account its a common. Even though were only drafting 1 pack of BOk 15 cards in each pack you could get at least 2-3 every draft. The only problem is that the 4 slot in any deck be it limited or constructed must and usually worth its cost and I just dont see that in the card.
But thanks R_E!

Not good in limited... I can't see it being anything in standard (what with Reap and Sow being such a dominating card and all =/). Sorry, I don't like it.
Creeping mold does not have a 'better' effect. This is an incredible hit to tempo (assuming they do not have an active Sensei's top, or elder or elsewise), costing them a land drop, active mana, and a draw next turn.
It's expensive, but in limited, this is the kind of tempo that wins games.
Not exactly the world's most exciting green "LD" as I really don't think its arcane status is worth costing one less than Plow Under. Still, this acts as a mini plow in block at least, complimenting its friend Rootrunner, but its mana cost may hinder its usefulness overall...
But hey, at least the card is helping to round out the spoiler. Thanks as always R_E!
Hmm... not that big of a fan. Just last night i was playing against a T&N that was running Plow Under... Definitly not looking forward to other Splice decks picking up a variant as well... oh well.

It's ok for a common....and It is on the same level as Mold (not lower) because it puts it on top of the library therefore making them draw it next turn.....
All in all......its ok not great....but.....if it was "splice" that would be good!
I like it for a casual annoy deck. Green and red land destruction with stuff like this and eternal witness for the topping. Quite evil for casual everyelse not too great, maybe in a heavy arcane deck.
I think this card is being seriously underrated. The fact that it's a common means that it will be easy to pick up in draft. With CHK being such a tempo heavy set I don't see how this card can be that bad. If nothing else it's a way for green to keep it's opponents from drawing a threat and setting them back a land drop. If you go first and can bounce a land they'll have 3 land on turn 4 and a missed draw. Sounds like a beating to me. Regardless, not too long until we get to find out how good it can really be.
Meh, the cards alright. In block it can be pretty useful and it just made me think of a mono G spiritcraft/ld deck. If only there was more green acceleration...

Fallow Earth as a common, with Arcane... not bad!

This is no Plow Under, but it is still good... And arcane! Niceness...
Thanks R_E!

Just because it is Arcane, I fail to see why it should have a 4cc. IMO 3cc would have been suitable, oh well.
Nevertheless, thanks for another look at another BOK card Elf.
