Well this varient of stax has been poping up recently in top 8 all over the place. I like the way the deck plays out, i am a more of aggro player. It runs 9 spheres witch can give control and combo fits. It runs enough larger creatures to handle goblins and GAT. And i still think Magus of the Moon is house in type 1 if it stays in play.
Here is my list, they are many different variations.
It's good to have a thread on this, I suppose, but you're missing some obvious inclusions which I assume you just accidentally omitted: Black Lotus, Juggernauts.
Juggs particularly are very strong, being very cost effective and making this deck actually "aggro". Also they are un-slavable, which is kind of the funniest side effect ever.
Regardless, I would lose a shaman, they're good, but you don't want more than one at any time really and they aren't very strong in the meta, just a nice later game thing to fully kill others decks mana. However, in a format where the majority of decks don't even run a full set of moxen, it isn't as good as it once was.
Titan is a poor choice, it's so expensive that if you ever actually can and do resolve it, then you have already won and the titan is win more, and when you can't resolve it, its either dead weight or giving your opponant massive tempo advantage. I would replace it with another trisk.
Some variations run factories in place of some mountains and tombs.
@Dimitri: the deck has been performing extremely well (rivaling gat) in the last few months. Check the last Myriads/etc. There is no reason why this shouldn't be officialed.
Razormane isn't worth the trouble. You should be able to easily win with cheaper 5-power creatures and your "Staxing" cost-increasing artifacts.
its good for the mirror b/c it will whip out opposing nauts, and just about everything else out there, plus its harder to kill. Personally i would love for someone to have a naut in play agianst me over the razor.
Razormane is good, but just like any sb card it depends on the meta. If there are a lot of fishy things (although there shouldn't), it'll prove its worth. It's also solid in the mirror. That being said, I'm not sure its good/necessary in a standard meta atm.
I like your board, but I would suggest trading some sprees out for heretics. An active heretic will just outright win you games, as it has a nice enough body.
Other board options include pyrostatic pillar, once again depending on the meta.
I'm wondering what place bazaar of Baghdad would have in this deck. Also, if you're running welders, you may as well run high cc creatures like titan, who can be welded in. Otherwise, what's the point of running welders?
I've been fooling around with MonoRed Shop Aggro for some time now and this mainboard seems to be giving me the highest win percentage against the current field.
LAND
1x Tolarian Academy
4x Wasteland
1x Strip Mine
4x Mishra's Workshop
3x Mishra's Factory
7x Mountain
my list is very close to this list. only differences are
-1 sword
-2 duplicant
-2 karn
-1 gorilla shaman
+3 triskilion
+3 magus of the moon
I know the magus seems counter active to the shops, but if you drop him turn 3-4 after a couple spheres and a robot it usually locks up the game.

Bill seems like a nice guy till I see that he's playing Stax and realize (by way of a concrete Magic formula I learned from my 4th grade math teacher) he has no soul.
the best way to combat oath is magus of the moon. You have to run 4 in your deck. I only play 2 duplicant and they are in the board. I do think that oath is a tough match but it is not your worse match. I beat it in the last blue bell tourny twice ( match results 4-1 ).
here is a new build I just updated too. I really like this, check it out. I need some help with the board thought. I am still pretty new to type one and I am terrible at side boarding. I know what should go in...but never know what to take out. help a noob out

Stax is like a boa constrictor. It slowly strips away resources and the ability to play spells from your opponent. The longer the game goes, the tighter the lock down gets. Simple as that.

I don't like tanlge wire in this deck, it is an aggro deck. You want your permanants untaped.
Also what do you guys think about Taurean Mauler in the board agaisnt dryad decks. This guy is always going to be bigger then drayd if it comes into play before it.
Stax already owns GAT. GAT is being forced into Tarm/Tog instead of Dryad.
I don't like tangle wire in Red Aggro Stax either. I took it out and it runs a lot smoother. The focus should be to aggrobeat and spherelock... either order.

I've seen some similar decks, but I'm pretty sure they ran only 1 Mox Monkey and a few other different things.
It looks decent I guess. I'm gonna test it out.
EDIT: there are only 55 cards in your list.

@ Glix, you might be right with the titan, i will try a 3rd trisk and see how it goes.

I've seen stax decks sideboard Granite Shard. Why is this? Is it totally outdated? It was Uba Stax.
