Hey guys i always thought a deck based around cards that draw 7 more cards were always a cool way to go for a storm deck. basically, this deck runs Windfall, Timetwister, Wheel of Fortune, Time Spiral, and Memory Jar to draw tons of cards and create a huge storm count.
This section feels a little light and i'd like to get some more red in here without screwing up too much else. I'll probably drop to 2 islands or maybe just ditch the swamp entirely.
I like this layout, pretty standard and LED should be self-explanatory in a deck with this many draw 7 effects. Petal is a bit questionable but being able to cast wheel of fortune that much more often is a lfiesaver.
Draw 7 Effects (5):
1 Memory Jar Could be above but it fits more down here
1 Timetwister
1 Wheel of Fortune Even better than timetwister
1 Time Spiral Nuts with either academy or library out
1 Windfall Won't always draw 7 but you usually go off turn 1 or 2 (sometimes 3) so this is effectively a draw 5 or 6 plenty of times. Also works well with the other draw7s if you got a bad hand.
Originally i had a 1/1 split between tendrils and Empty the Warrens obviously tendrils is better if you can resolve it but it falls prey to the new tech of Leyline of Sanctity that some people are trying out. Warrens also doesn't need 9 storm to win. I might go back to the 1/1 split simply because of that.
I've considered splashing green for Crop Rotation and Regrowth since regrowth on academy is pretty good. Other good stuff not included is:
-Fact or Fiction Too slow
-Gifts Ungiven Same problem and there is no "SCARY PILE" for us to assemble. Although we could create one with regrowth, Recoup, and yawgwin.
-Gush no fastbond (though that would be a decent reason to splash green, it's 5 cards total) and 15 lands.
Basically, i think i run just a few too few lands (probably want to up to 16) but i can't see anything to cut. Additionally, i'd like for this to be able to hit red a bit more often since red will be your primary defense against FoW post-board. A green splash is possible but going 4 colors strains the mana base since it's already super tight and there is barely any room in a 16 land deck. Of course, there is always the option to go 4 City of Brass+4 Gemstone Mine. Null Rod is still a pain but hurykls does it in real good as it does stax/spheres.dec
I wouldn't play Time Spiral at all. Unless you have an Academy it's just a bad Timetwister. If you stay with this I imagine that you'll end up with something very similar to Steel City Vault or the new Snake City Vault. Draw 7s to assemble Vault/Key, but with cohesive card choices like Goblin Welder to get pieces back, Ancient Grudge to have Null Rod answers but still be able to fire off the Draw 7s, Thirst for Knowledge, etc.
If you're worried about hitting R, run fewer Seas and more fetches.

Yeah well i had tested TSP out and if you use it you're usually going to do it on turn 2-3 with 2 lands up at the very least (which makes it slightly better than Diminishing Returns). But it's also really good with library which turns it into the only draw9 in the deck. It is the worst of the draw 7s though so i'll keep that in mind with testing.
I guess i won't be splashing green but i will change the manabase slightly: first testing with only 15 lands, then 16. Will post a potential sideboard shortly.
Its basically a bunch of draw 7's. But your going the Tendrils route instead.
hah all this time i knew about steel city but never thought to check it out for ideas. since this deck is faster it will probably eschew the welders and stuff, but yeah thanks totally went over my head.

Probably it's because I'm too tired at this time, but I don't see Will in your deck.
Also, I don't like 4x Spell Pierce, because it's pretty useless mid to late game. I'd replace 1 for a Hurkyl's Recall. Just swap some of your draw 7s for Preordain, Cabal Ritual or Ponder and you have something like Menendian's TPS. His articles can be a great source of ideas and tips.
No you're right, i forgot to list yawgwin, but it's definitely in the deck ha. The reason i went with spell pierce is because you intend to end the game turn 2 so it should hopefully never drag on until spell pierce becomes less desirable.
Here's the sideboard prototype:
3x Red Elemental Blast (side out bargain, chain of vapor, and a spell pierce)
3x Tormod's Crypt (side out 3x force of will vs. dredge, don't think you'll need these for any other deck)
2x Hurkyl's Recall (side out windfall and time spiral)
1x Chain of Vapor (mana vault?)
1x Diabolic Edict
1x Empty the Warrens (going back to the 1/1 split in the MD, so this replaces the other tendrils)
1x Tendrils of Agony (this is really only for if you're facing oath)
1x Volcanic Island (if you use warrens switch this out)

Here's what i've got so far:
Lands (15):
4 Underground Sea
4 Polluted Delta
3 Island
1 Volcanic Island
1 Swamp
1 Tolarian Academy
1 Library of Alexandria
This section feels a little light and i'd like to get some more red in here without screwing up too much else. I'll probably drop to 2 islands or maybe just ditch the swamp entirely.
Artifact Mana (11):
1 Lotus
5 Mox
1 Mana Vault
1 Mana Crypt
1 Sol Ring
1 Lotus Petal
1 Lion's Eye Diamond
I like this layout, pretty standard and LED should be self-explanatory in a deck with this many draw 7 effects. Petal is a bit questionable but being able to cast wheel of fortune that much more often is a lfiesaver.
Nonmana Artifacts (3):
1 Time Vault
1 Voltaic Key
1 Sphinx of the Steel Wind I like it but it still loses to iona
Draw 7 Effects (5):
1 Memory Jar Could be above but it fits more down here
1 Timetwister
1 Wheel of Fortune Even better than timetwister
1 Time Spiral Nuts with either academy or library out
1 Windfall Won't always draw 7 but you usually go off turn 1 or 2 (sometimes 3) so this is effectively a draw 5 or 6 plenty of times. Also works well with the other draw7s if you got a bad hand.
Traditional Draw and Tutors (8):
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Yawgmoth's Bargain
1 Necropotence
1 Brainstorm
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Tinker
Staples
Protection (9):
4 Force of Will
4 Spell Pierce
1 Chain of Vapor
Might change vapor to hurkyl's, but vapor at least hoses anything maining 4 leylines IE dark times.
Storm Stuff (9):
4 Dark Ritual
1 Time Walk
1 Mind's Desire
1 Tendrils of Agony
1 Empty the Warrens
1 Yawgmoth's Will
Originally i had a 1/1 split between tendrils and Empty the Warrens obviously tendrils is better if you can resolve it but it falls prey to the new tech of Leyline of Sanctity that some people are trying out. Sideboard is totally unknown yet and all i know is that it will contain Inkwell Leviathan, a way to kill Iona, and Red Elemental Blast/Pyroblast.
Thanks for any ideas/suggestions.
If you're worried about hitting R, run fewer Seas and more fetches.
