Ok, so I'm bored and procrastinating from doing homework and college applications, so I thought I should try to build a new vintage deck. And by I, I mean we, the MTGSalvation Vintage community, collectively.
I'd like to try a Mono-Black deck utilizing Sadistic Sacrament, since it seems great in this meta and Mono-B actually has a huge variety of choices.
What I'm putting down here are just my first thoughts, and I'd really appreciate any suggestions and help.
At the moment the strategy seems to be: tear apart their hand, then go for their deck. Alternate wins of attacking with Bob and storming out.
Does this look anything like a viable deck? I have no idea.
I'd like to hear everyone's comments though.
i think you could easily take out a few lands, 3 gatekeepers and 1 bob.
that gives you like 6 more cards. add the demonic consultation, that leaves 5 cards.
maybe more tutoring? at least one more tendrils. maybe yawg bargain? ad nauseum? cabal ritual?
thats the way i would lean anyway.
infact i had to make a mono black vintage combo deck for a rainbow tournament not too long ago. here's the list i used.. it was designed to kill multiple players on turn 1-2, and is very effective.
1.) Anyone who thinks cancel is viable should be shot. in the face. with a hammer.
2.) You misunderstand, what I was suggesting was the total exclusion of Spellstutter Sprite, because it just isnt that good anymore.
3.) Understand, Dredge is not really a Magic: The Gathering deck. When a card is playable in it, it doesn't mean it's a tournament playable card. It means it's playable in whatever crazy fantasy world that Dredge operates in.

With all of those 4-ofs I would definitely use Demonic Consultation. Also I would max out on Duress before Hymn to Tourach.
