Alright, Vintage is officially making me cranky.

Every idiot in my area is now playing control, so combo decks, my pride and joy, are obsolete.

The same is true for legacy, however; I run my own version of goblins I call "utility goblins" In essence, every creature in the sideboard has a specific use.

This deck is not strong enough for type 1, but I like that I can play a creature, get a sweet effect, and maybe swing for a few damage with it.

I've decided I'm going to be piloting a rogue control deck packed full of creatures. I just would like to know of some legit utility creatures for vintage

ones that no one will see coming, such as

Cursecatcher
aven mindcensor
uktabii orangutan
goblin tinkerer

any help is appreciated

People playing control shouldn't make your combo decks obsolete at all, but some other good creatures:

• Gaddock Teeg
  
• Dark Confidant
  
• Goblin Welder
  
• Viashino Heretic
  
• Gorilla Shaman

tidehollow sculler, aven mindcensor, withered wretch, glowrider, etc. are also good options. if you are playing something like this and it goes 5 color, ancient ziggurat might be worth a look, as you will need access to all 5 colors of mana and soon.

edit: don't forget aether vial. the card is almost mandatory as a 4 of here!

Goblin welder + gorilla shaman + disciple of the vault is a fun set of creatures when your opponent gets a mox/lotus/other 0 cmc artifact. you get to go:

1: destroy target artifact. your opponent looses 2 life.
alot of decks play very vew lands and a lot of artifact accel, so sweep out their artifacts and you get a nice advantage.
