I got into a discussion yesterday with an online opponent, about the different Oath targets. I run a creatureless Storm Oath build that sides into Golden Gun Oath (Emrakul/BSC/Iona with Dragon's Breath) and my opponent felt that Girselbrand was better for a Storm shell.
I personally feel that drawing 7-14 may not have as much impact after Oathing as a Jellyfish, but he felt that Grissy would be harder to deal with (especially against Jace) and enable Storm wins even if he was answered right away. He also felt that Dragon's Breath was a subpar card slot, and Griselbrand frees up that slot. Sometimes, Breath is a dead card, and sometimes, it's a whiff (if you don't hit it before an Oath target).
We agreed that GG Oath has a slight advantage over Griselbrand in the MUD matchup, which is good news for a Storm hybrid, but he insisted that Griselbrand was better in most other matchups.
Do you guys think that Griselbrand is an all-around better target than Emrakul, BSC, or Iona? Why or why not?

Slowly breaking.
Any more of this, and Team Troll will be more than just a name.
I own an oath deck, equipped with time vault and emrakul/blighsteel.
I tried griselbrand and feel he sucks, plane and simple. Ooh GB gets you 7 cards to set up the vault. If that's the plan then you should b running another deck designed for vault
it comes down to would you rather draw 7 or hit straight to the face. And setting up a breath isn't hard if the deck is set up right. Tutors can get breath on top along with other options like jace, brainstorm or top etc. I also run 3 lat-nim legacy to toss breath from hand. And if your targets being bounced by jace is an issue, save your control for it or run beast within as it also gives opponent a creature.
Blightsteel is best in GG oath. Emrakul is best in general because he's most difficult to remove. Just watch out for Jace Griselbrand is decent, in a storm shell or a controlling build where those 7-14 cards will ensure he gets his three swings in.
I'm not a big fan of iona, but it is good out of the board against combo decks and such.
These are just my opinions of course.
