Grizlebrand is basically better in every respect than the Sphinx .
He is black so you can eat him with ichorid or discard him to unmask.
Hes bigger statistically and has lifelink while keeping flying.
Sphinx can still whiff, grizzle gets you more than 2 times as many dredge triggers.
The only downside of grizzle is the 7 life, which to be honest is mostly not of concern in vintage as it would be in something like legacy. I mean ask yourself the how may time in the last few games you actually got below 8 life and stayed there for a turn or more.
Plus he still has a lot of power even if you don't win the turn you reanimate him, unlike Sphinx of Lost Truths.
This is true, I haven't even thought of his 'brute' power.. I was just focused on his ability.

You make a good point. - I was just thinking with the Sphinx you have the nice ability to discard, whereas with Griselbrand you can only draw.
Thanks for your feedback! Vintage is a seemingly dead format - no support on MTGonline, no support locally - and only a few vintage players on OCTGN... nice to receive some feedback on these forums.
If you're running a fatesticher build, 2-3 sun titan +1 FKZ is the best set period.
If you're running any of the slower/classic builds, griselbrand is worth a shot. as said above he's better than sphinx in pretty much all respects so he replaces sphinxs spot. I'd probably run 2 griselbrand and 1 FK zealot. There's really no point In Iona any more. just return FKZ and win that turn. no need to try and stop your opponent from casting spells if they don't get another turn anyway. There's also an option of just running 3-4 griselbrand, try to DR him asap, then therapy away opponents hand and ride him to victory... all that being said I would recommend fatesticher builds anyway.

I have been using grizzle as a 1 of in my sun titan build in place of 1 sun titan (2 in deck now.)
Honestly I only use 1 of him because he is legendary, but resolving him wins the game without question. Resolving a sun titan usually wins but sometimes you whiff. If you pull back a bazaar it is conceivable that you dont hit what you need in your next 12 cards. It is almost impossible turn 2 and up not to hit what you need off draw 7 or even draw 14.
Still playing with what cards to include in the list. Lotus seems much better in lists with grizzle and titans and stitchers because not only can you sometimes wind up drawing it with grizzle, you can reanimate it to bring out a fatestitcher with a suntitan.
I am also running 1 fires and 1 FKZ. Fires is better with titan but useless without, while FKZ can outright win the game but sometimes is useless.
Key is to make sure all your cards can play nice with each other.
If you are playing dread return though, i see no reason not to run 1x grizzle, as he serves the same purpose as a suntitan and a FKZ at once, by virtue of him being able to get you either or when you need it.
Thanks for all the input... I've never really thought of including Fires of Yavimaya before.. maybe I'll give it a shot.

How is it you can fit this all in your deck ? I always feel like everything is 'needed' in my MB so I have a hard time using my SB in some situations..
Perhaps some criticism would help me (MB and SB) - this is what I'm currently running:

Flame Kin Zealot, Griselbrand, Sun Titan, Iona, Sphinx of Lost Truths
They are all viable reanimator options for dredge, yet there isn't room for all of them.
I've been having a hard time determining which is most efficient...
So far, what I've gone with is:
1x Flame Kin Zealot
1x Iona
1x Sphinx
I have yet to playtest with Griselbrand, though I'm pretty sure having him instead of the sphinx would be much better...
Any help on this matter would be appreciated

I still like Fires of Yavimaya > FKZ.
If you stack the Sun Titan triggers correctly, you can cycle through for extra damage if needed.
