MTG Salvation

i was thinking about starting to build solitary survival in legacy but then i realied, solitary confinment would be so much more fun screwing people in vintage, making noramally quick games take an eternity. so start: squee, solitary confinment. squee means you should run bazaar. bazaar means bloodghast. bloodghast outside of dredge means cabal therapy and skull clamp. skullclamp means bitter blossom...ect
here's what i came up with:



in goldfishing i get turn three confinment with ghast/clamp or blossom online as well as bazaar and some squee's. i worried about how much bounce and enchantment destruction as played in vintage and that its more of a delay tactic than winning.

I think you hit your deck's weaknesses right on the head...most decks don't really care about Solitary because they will have infinite ways of blowing it up. You probably beat dredge game 1, but I think a lot of decks don't really care. You also seem weak against combo. 4 Thoughtseize and 4 Therapy don't really seem like enough to disrupt a vintage tendrils deck.

I think you need more hand disruption. Not only does it protect you from the various Tendrils decks, but it gives you more protection from things like Krosan Grip.

the one thing i found here in my limited testing today is that i dont need solitary to win. its more of a delay tactic and forcing decksto draw an answer to win. it really seems to win off the advantage generated by combinations of bloodgahst, bazaar, squee, skull clamp and bitterblossom.

the only extra disruption i could think of throwing in, is swap the 2 I bloods, for duresses. that would make 10 pieces of hand destruction, plus easily flashing back therapies.

one thing i wish i had was a cheaper combo than voidhelm. even though confinment buys, time, wihtout lotus, its difficult to quickly get 4 mana on two consecutive turns, and theres not enough room for dark rtiuals. any ideas?

reanimate is interesting. the thing i like about the leyline helm is that its tutorable. reanimate into iona would have the advantage of costing 8 less mana and only needing to hold one card in hand.
bomberman i would be reluctant to try since it doesn't cost much less, it takes at least 3 cards, and needs to keep a creature out.

well, i've decided to go: -3 combo cards -1 scrubland -1 plains +1 seal of cleansing +2 gaddock teeg +1 bayou +1 savanah

basiaclly, i had a revalation the bitter blossom iwns on its own. no need for an extra wincon. i also realized that nothing in this deck is more that 3 cmc, so teeg shuts off FoW, Tendril, Tezz, Jace, Smokestack....ect with no downside. plus its an extra beater.
alsos lets the deck play 4 natures claim and 4 tarmogoyf SB which helps.
