MTG Salvation

Hey everyone! I wanted to share something that I've been doing with my group of friends that has been incredibly fun and helpful when it comes to playing and testing my peasant cube.

Even though I still find time to play my cube about 1-2 times a month, it has been getting harder to find time to get everyone together with everyone's lives getting busier. As an alternative to meeting in real life, I thought we could draft online (via CubeCobra) and then build the decks on MTGO to play a match.

I did this with one of my buddies and it was wicked fun. It didn't take long and building the deck cost less than $5 (with a few exceptions... some cards are expensive, but in that case I just traded them to him and he traded it back).

We hopped on discord, and were able to talk while drafting and playing the matches.

The reason I bring this up is I was curious if anyone here on the forums would like to try doing this with me? It's a low cost, the steps are pretty easy to gather the cards (I will show you the easiest way) and it's really fun.

If enough people were interested, we could even get a 4-man cube draft event going. Just a thought. If anyone is interested let me know. I'd be open to doing this with other peoples' peasant cubes as well, if you wanted to test out certain things or just wanted to play a quick match with your cube. (since I know some of us have a harder time getting the cube to fire than others)

I'd be down to play but preferably over cockatrice since it's A - free and B - you can import decklists from Cubecobra to Cockatrice directly (I've done playtesting this way a bit).

Usually online most nights from 8:30pm - 11ish Australian EST if that works for anyone.

Let's ignore what happened after that

We drafted my cube on CubeCobra. We did 4 packs of 12, sitting a bot between him and I. We played 3 matches. Leelue won 2-1. Good games brother!

I played Golgari midrange and Leelue played Selesnya.

*** On a side note, I made a few alterations to the cube to make it more cost friendly for building the deck online. (e.g. No Ancient Tomb and a card like Inquisition of Kozilek was replaced with another 1 drop discard spell) ***

Leelue spent $5 total and got 3 matches out of it! We played 8 games, chatted the whole time on discord, and turns out he is just as ... uh... outspoken and entertaining as he is in the forums.
