I think we finally reached the point where we could include a +1+1 theme in GW. there are a bunch of cubable to borderline cards that give an interesting archetype.

I created an overview of this archetype a year ago.

It's not entirely up to date with Experiment One and Chronicler of Heroes, but should still give some inspiration of every relevant card up until that point.

I've been thinking the same and I've been considering it since seeing the first Double 2 spoilers.
On second thought though I'm kind of still not convinced the payoffa are enough. We have Ainok Bond-kin as well as the two green guys that give Trample, But in order for the archetype to really go off I'd love to see the Flying or Lifelink maker at common. It's not hard to find playable enablers, there is enough stuff that puts +1/+1 counters on stuff after all, but if there's no major payoff you don't get the rewards you're looking for.

I think the 2 biggest payoffs are actually Deepwood Denizen and Knighted Myr as well as Chronicler of Heroes. Combine them with a bunch of countergains likeDauntless Survivor and Ironshell Beetle as well as other stuff Captured by Lagacs and youre good to go. From the abilities only Ainok Bond-Kin seems really interesting.

I kinda hope we get a common downgrade of Grateful Apparition. It wouldn't be far off, since we've already got Thrummingbird.

i tested a rough sketch of the deck i imagine in the cube. it puts a lot of +1+1 into play, but both denizen and myr are too fragile to win on their back. it seems a similiar situation to the spells matters ur archetype.

this is a deck i came up with that could be included in the cube. it does not have dm2 cards in it.



Caldaia Strongarm is pretty sick. staple almost. There is no thrumming bird, but Pollenbright Druid, which is faster and flexible. Servant of the Scale seems overlooked

I think the archetype is doable, the question is if it's better than Auras in GW.

I think that Auras is far stronger, but I e.g. personally cut auras, not because it wasn't strong, but because hexproof is a really frustrating and non interactive keyword. I'm not looking to include this archetype right now, but I can certainly see it being viable, mostly because a whole lot of the cards for this archetype are just totally playable on their own.

I'm running the archetype for a year now. It's mainly gw with some cards in red and black.

Most cards are strong enough to warrant inclusion by themselves. Be aware it's a 540 cube.
