I like Pitiless Pontiff much better than the Bell-Haunt. Cartel Aristocrat is better for shenanigans, but Pontiff just makes ground combat an impossible proposition. Bell-Haunt just isn’t impressive enough on raw power for such a nightmare mana cost.
As far as split cards go, the Azorius one seems like it has a nice play pattern, but the others just seem like a poor fit for peasant.
Is really nice because of how it works with the archetypes in my cube but it's not strong enough to fight the other UW cards :/. I wish I could handwave it off as a hybrid card but dispose is really bad compared to depoly.
I guess I have to hope for more thopter makers in azorius with Dovin Baan is around.
That seems really good. Simic is arguably the colour with the best manafix in my cube (green's tutors and blue's deck manipulation), so getting UUGG isn't much of a problem. Also in the colours for Temur Sabertooth and Crystal Shard. Maybe I should look harder at the land-untap enchantment?
Okay - Rhythm of the Savages (if that is translated correctly) seems very interesting. 1RG for an enchantment with "Creature spells you control can’t be countered. Nontoken creatures you control have riot."
I could definitely see running that.
Frilled Mystic should have been a snake. Just saying.
I'm still not convinced that the UUGG cost isn't a significant knock against it. Even in Simic. I'd much rather play Mystic Snake given the choice.
The new 1RG enchantment (pending official name) looks like a better Fires of Yavimaya. I'm not playing that, but I know a few people here were. How often does the pump come up for those who play Fires (I assume it's more about the threat of activation?). How often would you rather trade the haste for a +1/+1 counter? I'm thinking this is probably cubeable (it probably helps that RG isn't a super deep guild).
I'm for sure playing Rhythm of the Wild. I think it's overall better than fires of yavimaya, but the kicker for me is that it's also another infinite combo tool for redcap/finks + sac outlet (I'm already playing juniper order ranger).
Zhur-Taa Goblin is good, but the creature quality Gruul gets is so insane it's not worth a spot.
Lizard Wizard is a test for me. UUGG is hard for what I typically run as an aggressive archetype, though the high end is certainly there.
Fires of Yavimaya's sac ability is basically always good for me unless the game is already lost; it's a free 2 face damage or combat win. It also makes Fires not dead when top decking. The main big draw to Rhythm of Savagery is the creatures already with haste. Turning Goblin Heelcutter/Keldon Champion/Ahn-Crop Crasher/Bloodbraid Elf into a 4/3 is pretty big. I think Fires is a little bit stronger, but I am vaguely considering running both.
The pump is a super important part of Fires’s value, but I still think this is an overall better card. Not being able to counter creatures is a big deal for control decks in a format short on wrath effects. The +1/+1 counter option is also super nice for creatures that already have haste, with good abilities, a counter theme, etc.
I am quite happy to test this new card. Its a bad topdeck and it requires you to mess with your curve to cast it (unlike anthems or curse of predation), But then it comes with the upside of an anthem (outside of tokens) and scary topdecks for opponents low on life.
Just play it in aggro only because of how bad it is the longer games go.

The mystic snake is tempting. I still think youll have plenty of trouble casting it even in your deck with rampant growth and preordain, but the upside of locking the game down is delicious.
Yeah both Frilled Mystic (I have elf and wizard synergies as well) and Rhythm of the Savages look great to me, my simic and gruul cards are a little weak/uninteresting.
What does everyone think of the Peasant Cube version of Thoughtseize for aggro decks? Drill Bit seems good enough to me, but I am normally a little too open-minded and eager to call a card good when it comes to effects being downgraded, or printed for the first time at a lower rarity, that I enjoy.
For those of us who support +1/+1 Counter synergies, what do you think of this card? Is it too costly, or is it a similar enough to Overrun that it warrants testing? With Bramblewood Paragon, Tuskguard Captain and Crowned Ceratok in the same color it is not hard to have this be a pseudo-Overrun. Also, doubling the number of +1/+1 Counters is a pretty unique effect at Peasant rarity, as far as I've seen.
@ Silhana Wayfinder: Holy moly. I mean, I suppose Elvish Mystic is unconditional and never whiffs but this feels like such an upgrade for our purposes, given that it has that minimally viable body. Digging deeper into your library is also always welcome to enable strategies reliant on specific build-around cards; in this case, creatures such as Kwende, Pride of Femeref or Anger.
I like Gruul Beastmaster. It fits the sort of power matters decks for which I keep Druid's Familiar around better than the latter since it is also a beneficiary of having its power boosted with equipment and suchlike. The potential for haste is also very nice in its own right. The card might very well be somewhat durdly but it is the kind of durdly for which I live.

The average case on Beastmaster is probably pretty close to the weak and unplayable Rubblebelt Boar, the floor is slightly worse, and the ceiling only comes up when you've got a bunch of factors happening in your favor anyway (you resolve a 4-drop, boost its power with something, attack with the 4-drop and something else).
I think Salamander Drake is good, it's a thing you can drop early and protect with counterspells, which is what control wants to do in my environment. Really great card.

Bell haunt would just be a viably cubable card for 2BB, not so much at its painful mana cost.
The pontiff doesnt really do much other than block well, so I'm passing on it. I want a sac outlet that accumulates value or does something big.

Draft it on Cubetutor here, and CubeCobra here.
Treasure Cruise did nothing wrong.

Agreed. For me this hits the Flyers, +1/+1 counter, and spell-slinger themes I have, and has a decent power level, so it's a definite include.
Windstorm Drake, on the other hand seems a little too high cmc to me.
