Just a thought, obviously we are never going to go planeswalkers in peasant... However, WotC have recently started making simple elegant low-powered planeswalkers that are cheap to acquire and could easily exist amongst peasant power level, the intro deck planeswalkers:
I get that it breaks the rule of peasant/pauper, but I'm not so sure it really breaks the spirit (at least for me). Usually, I don't like planeswalkers in limited, but that's because it's normally such a large power mismatch between my draft commons and a mythic card advantage engine, but these don't look so bad as finishers for control and ramp decks for example.
Has anyone tried anything like this before? Have any thoughts?
I guess if you like planeswalkers, and miss them from your environment, this could be one way include them.
Generally, I find the planeswalker deck planeswalkers to just be bad, overcosted cards. I don't think they do enough for how much mana they cost, and even if it didn't violate rarity, I don't think I'd want to run them.
Beyond that, I don't like to break rarity. I don't even run a rare printing of a card that's been printed at common/uncommon. That's just me, and I don't fault anyone who does otherwise.
Certain ones I've very heavily considered in the past as they offer some very unique effects for control decks. Im certainly interested in messing with them but have no reports on how they play in the CU/be+ setting.
I have a cube of bad cards, and in it I run most of these. Gideon I almost banned for being too good, and jace has been great. As such, they are the only two I'd consider
There are couple that look like the could be fun (and powerful) despite the high casting costs, but planeswalkers in peasant just feels wrong to me. I'm not against peasant+ and breaking rarity to fill the holes, but planeswalkers, even these not so over powered ones, just don't feel peasant.

Io how did you find that list?
Im a God. Nah I just pulled them from each sets Spoilers.
Of the ones I'd consider:
Vraska, Scheming Gorgon: slots well into both black aggro and black control. Plus the destroy a creature is actually pretty good.
Teferi, Timebender: Slots into my Esper Artifacts theme without being a card that only slots into that while also playing into my azorius Control deck that always seems to come into fruition when we draft.
Nicol Bolas, the Deceiver: He is the only 3 color card I would consider at this point just becasue it gives 4 and 5 color some solid payoff. Also he is a solid control finisher
Vraska doesn't seem to slot into anything. In control she takes three turns to be a 2 for 1. At least in aggro she's able to maybe threaten using 3 relevant abilities in a row, but a 6 mana half-a-trumpet blast with terrors isn't where I want to be.

Oh, forgot about that ajani. He's probably fine, as both of his abilities are relevant and useful at all stages. It's even a decision as to which to use.
Too bad he costs 6
Bolas costs eight just to be a annihilate. Trash tier
- Gideon, Martial Paragon
- Jace, Ingenious Mind-Mage
- Liliana, Death Wielder
- Chandra, Pyrogenius
- Nissa, Nature's Artisan

Vraska, Scheming Gorgon is the only one I would strongly consider, as she's versatile and doesn't warp the game too much.
Ajani, Valiant Protector and Nicol Bolas, the Deceiver are both probably fine for power level and gameplay, but they don't really do anything special besides being walkers.
This.
