Looter/rummager effects are always welcome, and a Bear isn't the worst floor, so I could definitely see trying it over one of the Borderland Marauder clones in my red 2-drop section.

450 card Peasant cube thread. Draft it here.
If you rummage, this guy does 2 damage when a Borderland Marauder has done 6... ugh.
Whole set is pretty lame for C/U stuff thus far. Obviously we have the big batch of commons and uncommons at the end which will reveal some decent options, but of what we have now there's no slam-dunk includes. I'll probably have room to try:
And plenty of other stuff MIGHT work out, but of the ones I just listed... nothing I want to really draft in the first six or seven picks out of a CUbe pack.
Sigh. The last few sets have been very strong for us, this just feels vastly weaker.
Powered cube has Moxes, Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Signets, etc. There's nowhere near the density of artifact targets in my cube, or the typical Peasant cube (also making the ETB-tapped rule far less potent).
Regardless of the specific merits of Reclamation Sage vs Manglehorn, I do think Manglehorn is a pretty good card. There are plenty of high-value artifact targets, especially if you have a "powered" Peasant Cube, and the ETB tapped ability impacts a lot of those targets (not equipment, sadly) along with doing work against the growing number of artifact creature token makers (Master Splicer, Whirler Rogue, Thopter Engineer, Visionary Augmenter).
I am cutting my weakest Green artifact/enchantment removal spell, Seal of Primordium, for another good creature that deals with artifacts.
Set spoilers still aren't over yet? There's still a decent chance we get some playables.
Right now I'm just looking at Ahn-Crop Crasher, which I'm not all that excited about, but maybe something will spark my interest once I see it in play.
Nimble-Blade Khenra makes me angry. Best art in the set so far on yet another 1/3 prowess clone. I've seen enough of those, give me an actual prowess card and don't waste artwork like that dammit!
Something I just realised: exert might be a justification to try Reconnaissance again. I will take any excuse to test it once more.
I know Reconnaissance got changed, then rechanged, and maybe even changed again. What exactly is the current ruling? It confuses me.
Can you, currently, attack, deal combat damage, then untap? Or is it all you can do is untap the ones that you do not want blocked? Gimme that lowdown
Given that there is no timing restriction (e.g. activate only before the combat damage step), you can indeed use it to untap creatures after combat damage has been dealt.
Yeah that feels super "damage on the stack"-levels of dumb.
The rules allow it now though.
When printed you could not use it after damage but that changed with sixth edition rules. However it was never errataed until the Journey into Nyx rules update. By then some people had learned to like the sixth-edition rules functionality, and since these people are likely the only people who ever played with the card, they figured they had made a mistake and changed it back with the Magic2015 rules update.
I sometimes cube with casuals, so I don't want to have a card that goes against logic and intuition in quite such an aggressive and offensive fashion.

Enchantments are probably more potent than artifacts in mamy cubes as well.

Cards I will test so far:
Ahn-Crop Crasher
Cast Out
Trueheart Duelist
Angler Drake - Maybe, does fit well with UW Blink
My 180 Peasant Cube on Cubetutor
Ahn-Crop Crasher
Cartouche of Knowledge
Cast Out
Maybe:
Miasma Mummy
Cursed Minotaur
Angler Drake
Trueheart Duelist
Battlefield Scavenger
Green hasn't gotten anything good yet IMO.

Brawl: To Be Decided At Eldraine Release!
The Cartouche seems considerably behind the current 'best' fight spells -- and I'm never super happy with these cards, anyway:
Unless you get some extra mileage out of the Enchantment card type, I don't really see it holding up.

My current understanding is that you can untap after damage. Gatherer does not currently have rulings which would forbid it, either,

Begone, fiend! (Plus, I am pretty sure no one would run it if they decided to apply said ruling.)
It's okay. Cheap cycling is nice, puts you less behind when the counterspell mode is 'off', but still... two mana Force Spike.
