Yeah, Skyship Bandit is a no-brainer. I'm pretty excited to see an upgraded Thrumming Bird see print at uncommon. The art is going to make a great foil too. Renegade Railer would be an auto-include if it were Boros. It's still good but GW is so packed already that I don't think a 3cmc Timely Hordemate makes the cut.
I'm a bit higher on Countless Gears Renegade than everyone else. 2drop bears with upside make the world go round and all. Getting 3 power and toughness across 2 bodies for 1W is pretty great value and I don't think Revolt is going to be super hard to trigger if you want it.

I think it's ok but there are only so many bears with upside you want in one color and white is cramped with options. I don't think I like Countless Gears Renegade any more than the options I already run and I don't even like it more than some of the options I don't run.
can anyone explain why they worded Skyship Bandit as such instead of saying "proliferate"? was it ONLY to include "players" so can add to Energy counts?
would it be silly to essentially errata a keyword like Proliferate to include players, or is that silly?
Also this card is awesome, and can now cut Thrummingbird for a better one
Renegade Rallier returns a permanent, tho. Not just a creature. Idk, maybe it's just the odour of new cards, but idk... Might this be better than Enlisted Wurm? Argh, why is Selesnya so good...
And Proliferate is a Phyrexian mechanic, wouldn't make much sense here on Kaladesh. Also, Proliferate can add counters on players, too.
I'm not sure if it's going to make the cut for me, but the scenario of a turn 3 Renegade Rallier returning your two-drop that you just traded in combat is very appealing to me. This might actually come up more often in limited than in cube.
Skyship Bandit seems insane, regardless of the wording it ends up with. A strictly better Welkin Tern is an auto-include for me.
Rogue Refiner is borderline. The phrase "draw a card" is always appealing, but I'm not sure if it's actually better than Shardless Agent, which gives you the extra card immediately with restrictions.
Winding Constrictor might find a home in my cube. I push counters pretty hard in green, and it has other tangential upsides that people have mentioned. I like cards that are interesting and different, and this certainly fits that description.
Ooooh! I hate to be the guy who gets all giddy and excited about every new spoiler but the card currently known as 'Aetherborn Warrior' seems great. I mean the 3/2 for 3 which has Revolt - Target creature gets -3/-3 until end of turn. This just seems so good despite being somewhat conditional.
That one caught my eye as well. Seems pretty good, But what do you guys think about the Hidden Reserve (translation pending)? making some sweet, sweet Servos and scrying seems pretty good, amd a scry 1 for 1 mana on your own turn doesnt seem that bad.
Current translations of the Orzhov enchantment have Revolt only triggering on your end step, meaning it would not work with chump blocking and you would only get one token per turn cycle. That said, even the base effect is pretty interesting. Seems pretty good if you can hit 3 tokens, and in theory the sac ability lets you turn a random creature into a 1/1 with scry 1 once per your turn, which is something.
New Ætherborn Warrior vs Tooth Collector? The -3/-3 definitely ensures you hit a better target, but it is less frequent and loses the upside of delirium. I would not want to swap one for the other, since I like Tooth Collector's delirium being a benefit for going deep on GY strategies.

The Revolt ability triggers at the end step, but it counts any permanent that left the battlefield during that turn. So it does work with chump blocking and counts any permanent that left the battlefield starting with your untap step. If it could produce one token per permanent that left the battlefield (and not one per turn) it would be the most broken card printed since...I don't know.
I meant to say that the current translation has the Revolt ability triggering only during the end step of the enchantment's controller, meaning there is no Revolt trigger for a permanent leaving the battlefield during your opponent's turn. That severely limits the effectiveness, since you cannot get a Revolt trigger for chump blocking and all of your sacrifice tricks have to be done on your turn, not your opponent's.
I think that revolt will be able to be somewhat consistent, and that aetherborn skinrender will be a bit better than bone shredder (which I never loved).
I really like Hidden Stocks or whatever the right name is. In my cube, Orzhov needs as many good sac outlets as it can get. Combine this with cards like Blood Artist and you're making your opponent's life very difficult.
Aetherborn Warrior seems fine. Tooth Collector seems like an appropriate comparison, and I bet in the average case they're about the same in power level, with Tooth Collector being more consistent and Aetherborn occasionally offing bigger things.
I don't think Revolt is consistent at all. It's Morbid that doesn't work with your own removal spells. If Morbid was easy to achieve to begin with, we'd all be playing Wakedancer and Ulvenwald Bear.
That's a good way to put it, _i0. There are some edge cases with things like Crystal Shard, but generally I think you're right that Revolt will be hard to turn on.
I wonder if the time is right for me to add another CC 2-drop in each colour... 'Vampire Nightwalk' as someone called Gifted Aetherborn is quite an impressive card and would almost definitely be my second BB card.
Nah, it is very different from Thrill-Kill Assassin. Being able to block while having 2/3 stats and deathtouch is huge (that extra toughness counts), and lifelink is also very valuable in black. This is almost like just a plain better Knight of Meadowgrain in black.
Can we like somehow combine the new Renegade Wheelsmith with previous "eh, fine" things like Iroas's Champion, Veteran Motorsmith, and Nahiri's Machinations to get a single solidly playable Boros card?

I don't think we have quite enough support for Weldfast Engineer, and Outland Boar seems fine but underwhelming.
