How's the bear with monstrosity in black? My guess is not amazing, but I'm really not sure.
Might be ok for cubes of 540 or bigger.
Any thoughts on Manaplasm? It was pretty good in Shards draft and it's now downgraded from rare to uncommon. It's probably too fragile and inconsistent for cube, but I still kinda like it.
Custodi Soulcaller 1WW - Creature Human Cleric
1/2
Melee, Whenever ~ attacks, return target creature with converted mana cost X or less to the battlefield, where X is the number of players you attacked with a creature this combat.
I'm curious about this card. Probably a little short of good, but it has potential.
Manaplasm is in the wrong color for cube I think. Which spell based deck wants to splash green, nevermind play green?
Dear guitarspider, you misunderstand Manaplasm. All cast things count as spells. As such, it also triggers for permanents when those are put on the stack.
I am actually considering Skittering Crustacean, Sinuous Vermin, and Borderland Explorer. The first two do passable impressions of Benthic Giant and (almost but not quite) Morkrut Necropod when monstrous. I just like creatures like that, with a passable early body and late game utility. But they are not snap includes. Borderland Explorer does help the opponent as well, but oh well. Particularly nice for aggro decks with a third splash colour (provided that the splash is not green). Under consideration.
Yeah. I was thinking of those two after mentioning how interested I am in them and he thing is, they should likely be considered creatures of their Monstrous cost, with a somewhat relevant early game mode. Neither would be playable for their first forms, after all. But both are very much playable as what you get for the Monstrous cost (a 6/7 Hexproof for 7 in blue and 5/5 Menace for 5 in black). Of course, you pay for the original bodies and the Crustacean is not a true hexproof because its monstrous trigger can be responded to. However, from this perspective, both are very playable.
I kind of like Garbage Fire. 5th pick or later it seems like a fine card.
The problem with cards like that for me is that when I'm drafting with less than eight I'll also typically do pack sizes that aren't 15, which lowers the ceiling considerably.
I love the cards from the conspiracy sets enough to put them directly in the Cube instead of in an additional "conspiracy module," but I still prefer them to work in most draft formats. Having to toss one or two cards when I'm doing Grid is fine, but the more I add the more noticeable of a problem it becomes.

At 3 mana deal 5, you're getting Murder for 2R.

Palace jailer, oh man Idk how to rate this. It Orings even if it dies, which is just so new and different
I'm looking at palace jailer (might just be ridiculous in aggro)
Sinuous vermin (I think this card is just good, as it acts like a haste 5/5 after being outclassed)
And I wouldn't fault anyone for testing the two other monstrous guys. The green one to me seems better, but I would definitely bet against them. 7 mana is just so long to be relevant for the crab, and the hydra is just inefficient
Cubetutor Peasant'ish-Funbox
Project: Khans of Tarkir Cube (cubetutor)
Draft it on Cubetutor here, and CubeCobra here.
Treasure Cruise did nothing wrong.

Smuggler Captain has potential as well.
Spectral Grasp is a cool Pacifism for multiplayer cubes.

My Peasant Cube thread !!! (380 cards)
Draft my Peasant Cube on Cube Cobra !!!
3/1 for 1G
2/2 monstrous black bear
2/3 monstrous blue dude
1/3 deathtouch monarch dude
Banisher Priest monarch dude
Maybe the downshift Ooze thing
And add some new draft matters cards to the pile of original Conspiracy ones that I've never actually used
2GG for a Centaur Courser is very underwhelming.
2GG + 1GGG for a 4/4 Trample is bad
2GG + 2GGG for a 5/5 Trample is bad
2GG + 3GGG for a 6/6 Trample is bad
2GG + 4..
You get the picture.
instead of 2GG and 1GGG later, just pay 3GG for Arrogant Wurm
it just looks awful.
